  1. not sure if anyone has seen this ... Yahoo News - Tuk Tuk Not sure if i'd consider doing this drive ..... though if I did, it would have to be the other way around, at least then I'd have something to look forward to at the end of the drive!!!
  2. Firstly, let me explain ........... I don't live in LOS so don't know the exact laws relating to business there, online or not. Also, I AM NOT A LAWYER ......... but ........ Having an offshore company (shell) registered in, for example, Panama, which recieves income generated from outside of Panama, would mean that you are not liable to pay tax in Panama or any other country. You could then pay yourself a 'salary' as an employee of said Panamaian company into whichever country your bank account is based. That said, here in Italy, if you are a 'resident' of the Italy and advertise to, and invoice other Italian companies, then you are liable to pay Italian Tax. Obviously. However, if you are a non-resident, simply in the country for 'business development' purposes on behalf of your parent company ........ this is not a problem. All depends on your circumstances I guess. Just take all the time you need to carefully think through your liabilities.

  5. Hi all, No fixed dates yet, but I figure I've earned a few weeks back in Pattaya :) Should be coming over late Oct and leaving late Nov ....... any idea when the best time to buy flights from UK is? They look ok now to be honest. I'll be happy to play in anything that's going, though it's been a few years since I played and from what I remember, I wasn't that good then! Looking forward to it!
  6. Ouch! .... there are scams in Thailand?? no, they where out there last month and bought. Had a full guided tour by a 'friend of a friend' who owns property in Pattaya. I'm not saying they havn't been scammed but, they really have looked into things .... i'm just trying to do the same in advance of my visit. Also, they're aware that non-thai's can't own land, only property and everything has to be done through a 'company name'.
  7. Thanks Fishingtime, I just read back my post and it must have been hard to comment without thinking "stupid brit, at least visit the place first!" Maybe i should have said that a few of my good friends have recently bought land and property around Mabprachan Reservoir. All i was trying to do is benefit from the experience of more 'seasoned' visitors. I take on board your point about renting for 6 months first though, valid point, but that's why i was trying to establish how the market was going. The last friend who bought there says whole estates where going in a couple of weeks?! Thanks again
  8. Hi all, We're planning on visiting Pattaya on the 12th Sept for a few weeks. Main reason is to take a look at property prior to a move over early next year. Thing is, just wondered what your views are on the property situation .... rising / declining, over / under valued? Seems to be a lot of building going on. Also, how flexible are the asking prices? All wise words gratefully accepted
