It does appear that a number of people have differing views over the intended 'role' of the TPV's Is there anyone here who can clarify the definition of their intended function. My belief was that that existed as an intermediary between Thai's and Farang. In confrontational situations, which can occur due to the 'language barrier' and simple cultural differences, I thought they served to calm down these situations and offer 'best advice' to farangs. Enabling the farangs to better enjoy their stay in Pattaya in a safer environment.

For me personally, this would be a perfect scenario ... 1 - I already have my drink 2 - a girl comes over uninvited, and asks if she can sit with me. 2a - I like the look of her, so I say yes. We chat for a little while and if it goes well, i'll offer to buy a drink. If the 'vibe' isn't there i'll stop talking and she'll leave or if she asks for a drink, i'll say no and she'll leave.
