  1. I was there on opening night too and yes they only started off with around 10 girls. The second night, they had 16, and the third night 25. By the fifth night they had over 40 with more girls coming to the door and applying for work. As for the comment about Ricky, yeah he's an ignorant bastard.
  2. Back from BKK, though I did extend my trip an extra couple of days so missed out on the Rockhouse Curry Night. But ..... I'm looking forward to tomorrows
  3. oops ..... I think I may have mentioned already, but I can't remember who was drunk, me or you I'm leaving for BKK sometime now and won't be back til friday evening, just in time for the Rockhouse Curry night though. Shame too, I fancied having a bit of Prawn Goan.
  4. Sorry I just don't 'get' the appeal of Mod ...... then again, look at my avatar
  5. Can't say I blame you ...... no better place to be at the moment I reckon Pleased to say that the prices are the same the second night, as are Jib and Fon ..... though Jib is slightly less Mow tonight (but it's still early). I've just showered and changed and am heading back out the door
  6. I'll go with everything the above poster says, but add ... If anyone is looking for Jib and Fon, this is where you'll find them Also, Kev and I let the ladydrinks flow last night and when we were leaving we decided to split the checkbin, both I and kev figured that it would be double what it actually was! This could be soft opening prices, but if these prices stick, then return visits are guaranteed. Nice one Ricky.
  7. Ricky I hate to say I told you so ........ but .....
  8. I'll be there next tuesday for sure, as i've said before this is a great night and should be on everyones weekly calendar ...... if only we had more curry! Yes, I thought it was 'as hot' as last weeks Vindaloo. It reached '1 tear' on my temperature scale If I can make one, minor, minor, critism though ......... the rice ..... well, it was a bit 'moist' for me. I leave mine a little longer in the steamer. I was going to mention it to craig, but like you I was pretty wrecked when finishing and completely forgot. Great night again guys ........ as always!
  9. As much as I love the curries, Thursday nights are FLB Bar Crawl night for me. Can't the Rockhouse one be arranged for any of the other days?? Just a thought.
  10. So what is your girlfriend going to do with the 'mini skirt'? Seriously though, we (my UK based company) are currently working on a new property marketing website at Thailand Property Market specifically aimed at smaller agencies who don't want the expense of having their own website. Not quite finished as yet, but not too far away from launch. Let me know if you are interested.
  11. Not sure if you have already offered my favourite the Tikka Masala, I missed out on the first three 'curry nights'. Won't be making that mistake again though.
  12. Great night again, Well done Lee and Craig! This is definitely turning into one of the 'must do' events on the pattaya weekly calendar Looking forward to the poll.
  13. Yes, I wasn't going to admit to the shame ... but now the secrets out. Well and truly thrashed
  14. Just a quick post here to say that I really enjoyed the last curry night, thanks to Lee and Craig (chef) and looking forward to this weeks Rogan Josh
  15. Thanks for Ricky's Number Kev He still reckons everything is looking good for a "first week of September opening". Can't wait!
  16. Profit aside ....... surely earning enough from a bar that a ) it stays afloat and b ) you have enough money to drink yourself stupid at the JP any night you wish, is justification of the bars existance. The fact that so many guys have enjoyed Adams company (cheap barfine) over the years is testiment to both the bars success and Adams ability as a bar owner. I've thought about it, I couldn't do it ....... profit or loss just doesn't come into the equation for me. Congratulations on the 2yr milestone Adam ..... may Pattaya have a 'Cherry' in it for a long time to come
  17. Slimboy, lost my phone on a drunken excursion to Bangkok with Hammer ..... so obviously lost your number too. Could you send me a pm? I'm still interested in your 'curry nights' too
  18. Not actually stayed there, but have been in for a drink on a couple of occasions. Once on barcrawl and once to the co-owners girlfriends birthday (a friend of my live-in). Have to say that on both occasions I wasn't particularly impressed. Service was slow and the girls indifferent, not a place I would think of returning to. As mentioned above, you have the Jasmine ... by all reports a 'decent' place. I know a couple of people who have stayed here and all recommended it. Only negative is that some of the rooms are pretty small. But you also have, just around the corner on Soi LK Me
  19. This isn't a 'hijack' (seriously), but didn't I read somewhere that the 'going rate' for ST and LT hasn't increased during this period either?
  20. why are you bothered? you'll be leaving when the larry thing is over wont you?
  21. Too right, I wouldn't have dreamt of moving here if there wasn't a string of quality hotels for me to not stay in. And, if by International Restaurants you mean, McDonalds, BurgerKing etc ...... places for me not to eat in too.
  22. It's the 'revamped' Lennies on Soi Diamond. Apparently it's a good place to 'hang'
  23. change country ...... you've obviously banged every decent girl in Thailand.
  24. The food, the smiles (obviously), the all night drinking hours, the price of just about everything. My live in lost the 'screw' from her Motorcycle visor the other day, so we went into a 'bike repair' shop to see if they had one. They did and one guy spent a couple of minutes repairing and washing the visor, whilst another guy adjusted the brakes on the bike. The charge? ........ 5 baht. My live in gave them 10 baht, so that's a 100% tip ....... don't tell Roland for god's sake!!
  25. No offence, but wouldn't the use of a spell checker, be a little more professional?
