interesting subject gentelman, time will tell, elections down the road, real estate had a good run this cycle, let see what happens when the chinese economy sneases,i personally will consider buying if there is weekness in the real estate market and a strengthening of the not so mighty dollar, sort of a perfact storm or the sun and moon lining up,rare, but happens, and only invest what i could afford to walk away from,no hurry epecially with rents being so sheap, you can pay rent with the interest you earn on the capital, granted you don't get the depreciation, but you keep you freedom to move abou

mm,nobody hould have to put up with that,no matter if they paid full fare or if it was a freeby,i think the airline owes you 1 round trip ticket,if you follow thru i bet you could get one,if not a little persistance and other avenues will get you one,as you are trully intitled to one and remember a picture says ......... to bad you couldn't videotape some, that would have been worth 2 1st class tickets anyway lol
-

garry ,wish you could show me how to live on 20,000nht/month,i eat thai food at 4x100bht a day, what am i doing wrong
-
guys let me try to explain mytself, let's assume you only have 1000us/month to live on,you can barely servive on that or more like barely exist in the states,1000 us in pattay will definetly not enable you to live in the lap of luxury by any means but at list you can rent an air con room in nirun condo or alike (5-6k) you can have 3-4 meals a day, granted not the hanibahna brunch for 1000bht,but you can fave good thai food, for what youd pay for a sixpack here, you can have 6 thai beers in the right bars ,meet girls that that will cheare you up,and still have 1000bht or so left over for a couple
-
the way i do it ,i'd call uited mileage plus reservations, and tell them i wan't to use my united miles for a ticket on thai air(kind of ironic, isn't it ,get a free ticket from united, and than fly another airline,i think thai air is has much better service with a smile imho)
-
yah buddy they still have web tv,,now they have web tv plus too,it's no the greatest but it does the job, some good points about web tv is that your screen is as big as your tv ,i can lay back on my bed and work it with my cordless remote, and i don't have to worry about catching a virus, plus it's cheap, oh,i like my women shaved by the way

to me one thing allways holds true, whatever you are living on back home, you could live much better on the same amount in thailand

-
i think you are right on the money there ,and for those that say well, you could live on that in the state,i say yes live more like exist ,where as in pattaya you would enjoy life
-
i have the same problem,i use web tv,i usually can see the 1st few picks but if there are alot of them, the buttom ones i can't see. sometimes hitting the refesh button works, most times it don.t

i'm sitting in my living room in massachusetts,it is barely raining out, not a sole to be seen, a few cars here and there. i would be happier being in pattaya even if sitting outside7/11 ia all i could afford my budget would be 15k for loom ++ 15k for l/t care taker 20k for food (2) 15k walkig around money,(7/11,a coffe here , a soda there, ice cream at the mall etc. 15k going out twice a week 15k s/t (the constant search for future l/t care provider) 10k in reserve ----- 105k i can actually trim each expenditure by 3-4k and still be much bett
