  1. Actually, the Amish are Swiss not English that's why they speak German. In any case scrapple was invented in America and wasn't brought over. More importantly, it tastes great and it is a travesty that it hasn't traveled outside the mid-Atlantic states. Previously someone mentioned the food the native Americans ate as Americans. If we want to go back that far, then there are lots of foods that should be considered American. Anything with tomatoes, potatoes, chilies and what Americans call corn (although other corn did exist elsewhere in the world, but that's not what corn meal is made from
  2. Scrapple. Most Americans don't even know what this is as it is only available in the mid-Atlantic states. When I lived in Bangkok, I came across a guy who made real sausages and sold them to various restaurants and hotels. 3. For me, I see the image date in the lower left. For FLB is says November 2012.
  4. I don't think Taipei has smoking rooms any longer. I remember then at the end of concourse C and also one at the intersection of concourse C and the main terminal. But they appear to be no longer there. I first noticed this in March.
  5. I just finished watching it. I liked it, definitely worth watching. Would liked to have seen them develop the relationship between Dennis and Toi a little more. As it is, the movie is mostly about the relationship between Dennis and his mother.
  6. I just added it to my Netflix queue. Looks like it's going to be a real tear jerker. Also, note that when I saw the title of the post, I thought it was going to be Ted as well, which I liked a lot more than I expected I would. Seriously, a movie about a talking Teddy bear? How could that be good, right? Well, it gave Seth MacFarlane a way to be raunchier than he ever could be on Family Guy.
