Valley View Restaurant may appeal more to the expats than the tourists, unless you are a golfer, due to its location near St. Andrews/Green Valley golf courses. Food is fantastic. The Sunday Roast for 260THB was very filling. 4 different meats (beef, pork, chicken, lamb), 4 Yorkshire Puddings, large serving of potatoes and veggies. I started to eat one of the Yorshire Puddings before stopping to take a photo. Proprietors are Steve and Mali. Very nice people. They also have several different pies that are excellent "to go" items. Chicken Balti, Minced Beef and Onion, Chicken and Stuffing, Pork and Apple. 95 baht each. https://www.facebook...estaurantRayong I have also been there for lunch one time previously and had the fish and chips which were every bit as good if not better than the Jolly Friar. GPS Coordinates are: 12.81207N, 101.06186E.

You are a French prick so English is likely not your first language. You completely misinterpret my post.

You presume a lot Idefix. What gives you the idea that I spend between 1,000 to 2,000 baht in a bar to come out to a 100 baht tip? Nothing strange about tipping more in a bar. I have not yet been to a restaurant where there are semi-naked to naked young women entertaining me. What buffets do you go to where they take care of the fire, level of water, shrimps or fishes for the BBQ? The ones I go to are completely self serve with the exception that they may either bring a pot of coals for the BBQ or a pot of water to boil. Other than that, I get up to get all my foodstuffs and drinks. Personally I could give a flying fuck what your Thai friend does or does not do. Your Thai friend probably washes his or her ass with his or her bare hand as well so I should do that as well?

Carl's Jr Central Festival Pattaya American Fast Food
Sammy replied to tequilareef's topic in Restaurants and food
Had myself a Western Bacon Cheese burger yesterday. First time I have ever had a Carl's Jr. burger. Very good. Quite tasty. No where near as good as Peter's Drive-in but better than the McDonald's and Burger King fare. Price for a bottle of water is ridiculous. 39 baht. -
steamer, Why don't you provide a restaurant name, map and details if the food is so much better in Bangkok Chinatown? Been there and have yet to find any restaurant that serves Western "style" chinky. jacko, Precisely correct. Most of my time is spent in Pattaya and area. The odd time I do go to Bangkok, the last thing I generally want to do is deal with the traffic problems in Bangkok Chinatown and the filth that is present there.

Ate at the China Garden again yesterday. I am not sure why this place has its detractors. Does it serve Western "style" chinky like I can get back in Canada? No, but it is by far the best that I have ever found in Thailand.

I have stayed at Phachara Suites numerous times, usually for a month at a time so I get an excellent rate. The rooms are kept very clean, Aircon works well and if it doesn't they send a technician to the room to fix it within 20 minutes. Generally lots of hot water. Only downside is that the place is full of Arabs and lately Indians who take full advantage of the kitchenette and stink the place up with whatever they are cooking.

Settled for the all you can eat buffet at Shenanigan's in the Avenue Mall. Food was excellent. Service not great.

Where is Bob Palmer's place? Disregard. Found it.

Any recommendations on a place with an excellent Christmas Dinner? Please do not recommend Bruno's, Greg's Kitchen or Dicey O'Reilly's.

Absolute great feed. Crispy shredded chili beef is fantastic. Chinese food Western style if that makes sense. Will definitely go back many times.

Canceling my subscription to True. ASN was the main reason I have it so I could watch the NFL, NHL and US College Football. Typical Thai idiocy.

Zico's Brazilian Bar-B-Q Beach Road Pattaya
Sammy replied to tequilareef's topic in Restaurants and food
Had dinner at Zico's this week. Pricey, but good service and food. Only complaint was that we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Chose inside as we thought there would be aircon. No aircon, no fans. Would have been more cool outside and getting the sea breeze. -
lovedog100, If you mean hashbrowns as in shredded potato's and then fried, I would agree with you. The fried potato's were, IMO, far too greasy, oily and under cooked.

I managed to get to Tigglebitties for a breakfast this morning. No biscuits and gravy. Apparently sometimes they have it and sometimes they don't. TiT. Have decided to do a comparison on breakfasts between Tigglebitties and Caddyshack which is not far from Tigglebitties. Rankings are 1-5 with 5 being high. Tigglebitties - House Breakfast (September 15) Toast - 1. Couple pieces of small "Farmhouse" brand. Bacon - 5. Excellent. Nice and crispy and let me replace more bacon instead of the sausages. Eggs - 4. Scrambled. Cooked well done as I requested. Portion seemed small. Fried Potato's - 2. Very oily and greasy. Not very well cooked. Tea - 3. Can't really fuck it up but it was hot. HP Sauce - 5. They have it, I like it, I use it. Beans - N/A Tomato - N/A Service - 5. Great girls and friendly. Cost - 4. 120 baht. Good value. Caddyshack - Breakfast No. 1 (September 12) Toast - 5. Really good Texas Toast. Bacon - 1. Lads, that is not bacon. It is sliced ham. Eggs - 4. Scrambled. Cooked well done as I requested. Fried Potato's - 5. Excellent. Cubed and nicely cooked. Tea - 3. Can't really fuck it up but it was hot. HP Sauce - 1. Do not have it. Was offered "brown sauce." WTF is brown sauce? Beans - 3. Small portion but nice and hot. Tomato - 1. I don't eat tomato's but this thing was soggy and was not sure if it had been half cooked or not. Unappealing to even look at. Service - 2. Food preparation took over 1/2 an hour. Cost - 3.5. 130 baht. Good value. Overall, for me, I would choose Tigglebitties, mostly because of the bacon and service. It would not even be close if Tigglebitties used the same cubed fried potato's as Caddyshack and cooked them the same way.

Thanks Martin for the photo. Will give it a try another day after 9:00AM. I am craving biscuits and gravy. Been a loooong time since I partook of the $0.99 all you can eat Sunday breakfast buffet at the Golden Corral near the University of Oklahoma which had great biscuits and gravy. Always had to time it right. Get there at 10:30AM which was after the 8AM Baptist bible thumpers finished their mass at 9:00AM and had left the restaurant and before the 10AM BBT's got there after 11:00AM. Had that good 1/2 hour of a full buffet almost all to myself.

The Tigglebitties link on Facebook says they are open at 7:00AM. They were not ready to serve me breakfast at 8:00AM today. Cleaning ladies told me they open at 9:00AM. Too bad. Wanted to see if it was all it is cracked up to be.

Can anyone recommend a serviced apartment in the price range of 2,000 to 2,500 baht/night? Location can be anywhere between Pattaya South Road to Pattaya North Road and between Beach Road and Third Road. Preference for newer (less than 5 years old). Proponents of the Skytop need not respond. Thanks.

If you are looking at the Vios and City you should throw the Mazda 3 into the mix. I think it is a nicer and better car than both the Vios and City.

Freelancer Promotion at the Pattaya Beer Garden

I'd like to meet up with the spinner in the small red shorts. Too bad no picture of her face. -
I guess you are not a very good golfer then? That's okay, just as long as you complete a round in 4 hours or less I won't judge you too harshly.
