flew Amsterdam direct to Bangkok last Dec it was cheap it was nasty old plane no in seat tv - old tvs every 10 rows or so crap movies rubbish in flight service but it is direct and it was cheap better than phuket air was not up to eva or even thai standards

went belfast to bkk via amsterdam december it was the cheapest single ticket never again made etihad economy look like first class airplane - 1970's 747 crew - did their best never ever again only went hat was cause of the price and it was only one stop over in ams on the way will go eva via lon or even etihad with the two stops just thinking upgrade utter crap to crap is not worth it 635 from glasgow could have got you a good economy flight plus alot of change

never had a bad flight with bmi yet but they can get you on the baggage allowance if the backs are not checked all the way through to belfast on the return trip also the eva flight didn't make it in time to catch the last plane home and i have had a couple of overnights in airport hotel

have agree Greggs kitchen do an all day breakfast i get 2 sausages (no hod dog crap here) 2 slices of bacon (not incinerated) beans mushrooms grilled tomato and fried spuds served with OJ and coffee along with 2 very thickly sliced pieces of toast (marmalade and jam on table) very reasonable will fill even aq gready fat bastard like me have to then take a walk down nearby soi 6 and work the calories off

dined there myself had 300g with chips (french fries to yanks reading this) and sauce bernais sauce was great steak was just ok but not great value smallish bit of meat for a growing boy and i laughed when the side order of chips arrived so much i had to get another order small tip - dont ever try and serve an irishman less than 12 chips on a plate and tell him its his dinner was expensive for pattaya - didn't seem to be a big crowd in TG didn't like the place thai food no good she said

I have stayed in all three Nana - not since the renovation - was a shitehole then only if yuo want to wallow in sleaze should you stay there and the foos is crap as well - roach city Grand Inn makes the Nana look like the Hilton if its the one I think across the main road from the Nana soi and past the Indian Tailor (not majestic) - really bad rooms when I stayed they Oct 05 very nice staff but the place needed demolishing and starting again Dynasty Grand stayed there in Dec 06 and Jan 07 excellent guest friendly excellent rooms free internet in room DVD player big tv great bathroo

stayed there last october with wife, my suster and her work mates excellent clean hotel quite location but baht bus stops at door on request. staff very friendly hotel very good free tea and bun (note 1 bun) ok had a couple of different rooms more expensive rooms have window looking out onto soi etc while cheaper ones had window onto interior walkway. Aircon ok Tv ok (usual syphon crap) safe in room bed clean room clean bathroom std pattaya tourist affair with big shower very much like Sabai Dee massage rooms (so I am told!!!) would recommend staying there will be back
