Would imagine they are not that quiet, what is it like if you fancy an early night with your girl with a gogo bar downstairs playing loud music till 1 or 2 am?
-
For my next trip in June I am looking for an hotel with a bath, a nice big one preferably ( for two people) , in all the time I have been going to Patters its always been shower, nothing better than a relaxing soak, the only thing I miss about Farangland! must be reasonably close to the action.

Any seats thats are at least 10 rows from the screaming brats will do me.
-
bugger rugby the Welsh have better things to do
-
Thats moved on a bit over the last couple of weeks, thats the ma maison site, could be very uncomfortable for the sandy spring guests for quite a while to come.
-
I am going EVA, 325 fare 81 insurance and 53 tax = 461
-
obviously going to cost more after tax and insurance, I paid £461, but thats still well cheap, and the link does work.
-
Can get a flight middle of June on EVA from UK for £325 a real bargain, this is through http://www.travelbag.co.uk this is the lowest you will get I think.
-
Its opposite the dynasty so thinking about it I guess its not too far from sandy!, but the site at ma maison must be of more concern for anyone staying there, personally Im going to steer a wide berth of SOI 13 for my next few trips
-
It is very true, just came back and the demolition is very much in progress!, but it is some way from the sandy spring
-
The only construction site that should concern you is the one across the road next to the ma maison, it is in the very early stages at the moment, so April I would imagine it will be up and running.

well just coming to the end of my trip and it is my first stay at the RG, overall a very good hotel, friendly staff nice comfortable rooms for the best part, apart from the sound of the traffic from the main Jomtien road, for the price you will struggle to find anything better, BUT the main gripe I have is the fact the fact that it is a little out of town, in the review it states 5 minute walk, yeah right!!! If you stay there be prepared to spend alot of time on baht busses stuck in heavy traffic up towards south Pattaya road (it does not help that thay are digging up that cross road at the moment) at night time I found it difficult to get back sometimes because either they wouldnt stop, didnt know where the RG was or was quoted 100 baht because when you try to describe they thought it was actually in Jomtien, so four taxis (bus and bike) a day cost me on average around 100 baht, yes I would recommend the hotel, very nice indeed but I dont think I will be staying there again. Had a great time though
-
A warning also for all you soi 13 regulars, as from today 24 Jan they have started to demolish the 4 bar complex directly opposite the big condo construction next to the Dynasty, looking at this I would say avoid soi 13 for the next 8 months at least
-
took a walk down soi 13 just yesterday, bad news for you I think, there is a construction site right opposite the sandy spring anfd it is in its very early stages, so I would guess by around April time it will be pretty much unbearable. sorry to have to give you bad news but thats the truth Im afraid

I`m arriving in A few days and my regular TG as sprung it on me that she is coming to the airport to meet me, now I am quite happy about this but what is the situation at the residence gardens hotel if I turn up to book in with a girl by my side? does anyone know if there is an extra charge? will they be able to issue an extra key?
-
there are hundreds of rooms but how many are available is another question,
-
I`m staying at the RG in January and I am taking my laptop, what I would like to know is if I can access the internet in my hotel room, I am quite new to this computer lark so can someone give me a step by step guide how to go about it, also how much would it be likely to cost me on my phone bill at the hotel?
-
I understand that they are (or have already) going to start construction work right next door to the apex where those three bars were, so thats another pretty good reason not to stay there
-
Am I right in thinking that the TV and bed are in different rooms (thus preventing my TG from watching it from bed), that could prove troublesome considering most of them love their telly, don`t want to be laid in bed with a hard on while she is in a different room watching it

Where is the skytop excactly? -
Well I managed to get a booking

I have decided rightly or wrongly to cancel my booking at the sandy spring in January due to cocerns about noisy construction work on soi 13. Now I am booked into the RG, just would like a little advice regarding this hotel from my fellow boardies, firstly, how much of a inconvenience is it that this place is a little bit out of town? do the baht buses that pass the door go directly along second road? I understand that there are signs in the room saying that no guest after 11pm, is that enforced? and is there a problem getting back from say soi 8 because most of the buses do the beach rd second rd circle?
-
Staying at the sandy spring in January butr not too sure about the location in regards to the construction sites, does anyone have a map or details?
-
And I will be moving!!!!

I`m staying in the sandy spring January, please is that far from the noise and is it affected?
