  1. Might be worth getting a 2nd room in Soi 6 o you can keep yer mongerin' gear there
  2. If you have a bit more time in the Dam, check out the Tsukinski Cinema.. down Damtrak past Dam Square and hang a left at the floating flower market... 100 metres. It is simply the most wonderful cinema in the world - art deco, completely restored to it's former glory. I flew to Amsterdam with my daughter just to see a film there.
  3. Personally I was surprised to read the contents of this Nightmarch post. Don't get me wrong, it was good to get a little gossip about the history of the 2 Living Dolls as I had always wondered how they were connected. However, having seen the size of some of the guys who hang out in Living Dolls, I will definitely not be repeating any of the above story in Pattaya and particularly around Walking Street.
  4. That poor wee lassie. I met her a few times :crying Ben - great posting with sensitivity.
  5. This is so very sad. I met the girl only a few times, but she was very pleasant, cheerful and a real asset to the FLB. If I had known about this, I would have made a contribution to the fund as I was in SEA when it happened and at the time of the funeral. Pete - is the fund still open and how can a remote donation be made at this late stage ? Rakit
  6. Matty - cheers... this makes me feel better as there are mixed reviews all over the web and I just hope my trip comes off OK, like yours did. It feels like a lottery and I heard over the grapevine that PA have serious financial problems. Now - what about that trip report ?
  7. The key point is that you want to use the UK-US leg later. If it is a cheap ticket, this will cost you a supplement. I suggest you try and use a US airline like Continental, as they allow changes for about $100.. at least within the US.
  8. As far as I know, the Travel Agent's regulation board ABTA (UK) state that a change of more than 12 hours in your flight is "significant" and you should be entitled to a full return of your cash in these circumstances. I don't know where yopu are flying from, but if it's from the UK, Phuket Airlines have a flight from Gatwick on 22 March. They have altered schedules a lot recently. I recently found that the mention of "naming and shaming" both Phuket Airlines and my travel Agency on a web board of 6,000 members dedicated to travel to Thailand resulted in an immediate change in their
  9. Don't do it kid, or at least postpone for a few months. Once you step over that line, the rose colored glasses will, bit by bit, turn to shit. Slow down, let your parents meet her. Take their advice.
  10. Same airline over Easter £349. But they have a chequered timekeeping record
  11. also problems here, says logged in but cannot reply to Open Forum posts or see Members Forum. Will try and send this and see what happens. I was logged in and when I hit "quote" it took me to another login procedure. So here I am now. Still no joy on members board. R
