  1. I only drink to be social with the girls. My objective in LOS is to have fun with the girls...period. I can drink in the states with friends.
  2. When did Dusit Resort become not guest friendly? I've stayed there many times between 2001 and most recently June 2009 and never had a problem. They would always just take her ID at the door or more recently, the front gate. They even have had the spare toothbrush, etc for the guest. I'm asking because I sometimes think about going back, but I won't if their policy has changed. Thanks...
  3. I've stayed at the Marriott three times this year, and they are fine with up to two 'guests'. There is no fee. When I brought 3 a couple times, they gave me some grief, but let it go. Anyway, hope that helps.
  4. Many nights in Patts I'd prefer not to drink alcohol. However, finding something else to drink all night is a problrm. Juice gets old after one or two, diet coke is enough after a couple, etc. What do you non-drinkers drink when staying off the booze? Thanks.....
  5. Thanks for the responses and sorry if I wasn't clear enough. Simply put, I was curious as to who she was going to hand her 10,000 Baht to, since that is a lot of money to her....not what that person or persons were going to do with it.
  6. I have a question for BMs that might be somewhat versed in Buddhist practices... I know a BG who had a family member pass awhile back. Now she plans to spend a significant chunk of money to 'make merit' for him. I just read quite a bit on the internet about the concept of merit for the deceased, however, I can't find exactly what happens to the money. I'm curious and would prefer not to ask her and sound rude....so do you guys know what a good buddhist is likely to do with merit money? Another words, if it is given, who would she give it to? And if spent, what is it spent on? Tha
  7. I've been to your place a few times, and to tell the truth, I don't recall the music at all. And that is a GREAT sign! I usually notice if music is aggravating or too loud. So my vote is to stay as is (whatever it is). Thanks for asking...
  8. Funniest stuff I've read on here in awhile...especially the last one.
  9. Good to see a company have a sense of humor, especially in this day and age of political correctness.
  10. Continental has new flat seats in business first on the houston-narita leg. I'm pretty sure it's 180 because I even slept on my stomach for a bit.
