China airlines F/F programme is as far i am aware affiliated to no other airlines.I flew with them a few times and accumulated enough for an upgrade(before my miles were due to expire).Still worth joining cos it costs nothing. My mates took the piss out of me for being in all these F/F programmes but at the end of the day i've had a(free) flight on turkish Man -Bkk which cost me £78 Taxes(last June)through their miles and miles programme, then in oct 05 i had enough miles on star alliance for a flight from BKK- Manila(cost £28 taxes).I've also had numerous upgrades on other flights as well as

Hi Carpediem,i just done a quick search on London to Bkk flights dep Apr 30th and it looks like you will be paying roughly around £100 more for a 4 month ticket as regards to a 3 month (90 day ticket). On the 3 month tickets the search came up with the following. All prices inclusive of Taxes. Expedia.com Heathrow - BKK EVA £411 '' '' QATAR £424 No C/C charges with Expedia Airline network(airnet.com) Heathrow-BKK EVA £433 C/C charges 2% E-bookers.co.uk Heathrow-BKK-EVA £413 C/C charges 2% Thomascook.co.uk Heathrow -BKK EVA Â

Hi Carpediem,My ticket on Etihad from Manchester is only valid for 2 months.I know Etihad has competitive prices out of London.Another board member flew out of Gatwick on them(April) but flies back into Heathrow(for some strange reason).Anyway this doesn't help you too much if the tickets are only valid for 2 months. What about Air France if you're flying out of Charles De Galle? Alright Carpediem,i've flown malaysian albeit quite a few years ago.Don't know where you're flying out of but One thing you've got to take into consideration is that it will fly to KL first then you change plane and double back on yourself to BKK.This also applies to other airlines like singapore.I fly out of Manchester and have also flown with China, which i also find a good airline,Short hop to Amsterdam then long haul to Bangers too.It arrives at a good time in Bkk(early morning).Don't know where you're flying out and when you're flying but if it's from the Uk you might want to consider Etih

Jasmine Hotel Soi Buakhao
THE_DRUID replied to Hardeep J's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Hi sa~teef,It'll be interesting to hear your report.I sent an e-mail with some questions. One was about Joiner fees/Guests and in the words of the owner/manager.His answer was as follows. 'The only thing to add is WE DO permit without charge GUESTS to take VISITORS to their room. The only requirement we have is that the visitor leaves a copy of their ID with reception. This for the safety of our guests.' I assumed this meant 1 guest or more as in the plural Visitors. But in the 'copy of their ID part he refers to the singular Visitor!! The pics look good.will wait for report before i b -

I E-mailed Jasmine Mansions(soi Buakow),a couple of days ago and their response was prompt(within 3 hrs!!!).They quoted me Standard Double Room THB 450 Standard Double Room with balcony THB 550 Large Double with Balcony THB 650 Suite THB 750 These rates apply to 5 day(minimum) stay. There is a THB 1000 deposit to pay at check in.Refunded on departure. Alright Pauly, I'm on Etihad from manchester on June 7th.You mention that your flight time(outward from Manchester had changed).Did the travel agents you booked with tell you of the time change or did you find out from the airline?I haven't been issued my tickets yet.BTW i booked through Trailfinders in Manchester.Haven't heard from them about a time change yet!!

I'll be flying on Etihad in June from manchester to Bkk.Can any other board members tell me if they have a frequent flyer/air miles scheme. If so can you join it (like other airlines) by filling a form out on the plane?I've been on their website but there is nothing mentioning collecting airmiles. What about the J-house website or e-mail address.Anyone got it? -
What!your mates don't want to go back to los?Are they mad Anto?I always go on my lonesome over to Siam(although i know lots of people either residing or usually meet up again with old aquaintances who are holidaying again.).It's good to go alone, you don't feel oblijed and can do your own thing. You tend to make a greater effort in meeting new people when you arrive on your own, although as previous posters have said you're never on your own in Funtown(with all the phu-ying around!) Has the J-house got a web-site or e-mail address? -
I Used to use Mr T but only for my return trip to the airport. His taxis are ok,meter taxis.I would use him on arrival but the convenience of e-mailing and booking on the net is my preferred option nowadays.Mr T should get an e-mail address, i'm sure buisiness would increase if he did.

Any direct bus from BKK airport to Pattaya
THE_DRUID replied to phantomtiger's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Kerddee travels phone number for a Taxi is (038)413237-8, Mobile 01-8659676,Fax (038)413238,or E-mail kerddee1@hotmail.com .Wasana at Kerdee travel will reply to you promptly if you e-mail her.I've used them on numerous occassions and each time they sent good motors, not your run of the mill meter taxis. The cost is THB 1200+ tolls. -

I've flown with Turkish Airlines a few times. Its I'd say at the lower end out of the economy priced carriers. But if you're going for price over quality then it's ok.There is a downside flying with them, one being a 5 or 6 hour layover in Istanbul airport. That was flying from Manchester-Ist-Bkk.From London maybe the time waiting for the connecting flight is shorter. On the upside join their frequent flyer program,it's called Miles and Miles. If you're a regular traveller and travel with them to Thailand for example 4 times you get enough miles for a free flight(taxes only to pay)(note their is an

Hi Manuthai, I'm guessing you mean China Airlines(the Taiwan carrier),and that you're going from Manchester(UK).Well if this is the case i've flown with them many times and have never had any problems(i'm actually due to fly with them again next month from Manchester). You'll be flying from Manchester with KLM/AIR UK for the MAN-AMS(1 hr) leg of the flight, then pick up the China Airlines flight from Ams to BKK.A long haul of 11+ hrs but a good early time to arrive in Bangers around 7 am i think.I booked my flight through Trailfinders in Manchester, they seemed the most competi
