I flew on it in January from Dubai to Bkk and had the pleasure of being upgraded to Biz class(upstairs).So i did find it a lot better/plush than previous flights on the 777 when i've also been upgraded.Lovely little bar and more plush seating. I'm also booked on Emirates towards the end of September and the e-ticket states that 2 out of the 4 flights(the Manchester to Dubai leg and the returning Dubai to Manchester leg are also on the A380).Just hope i get an upgrade to sample the delights in Biz class again.

Nice touch Greg,always enjoy a few beers at your bar and had the pleasure of the company of a couple of your TG's there last trip.Will definitely be calling in next trip September.

Beer overpriced in Los...Yes but it's the Tax.Petrol is overpriced in the UK because of the Tax..We could go on but this is a beer thread and i've got a hangover!!

No it's just a flat pad and it's just touch(so the keyboard comes up via touch on the screen)You can make the size of everything bigger/smaller by touch.Everything as you can guess is done by touch.The bar owner(part bar owner) is from a small Soi Post Office beer bar.I've known the other partner in the bar for years and the guy with the ipad just happened to turn up with this ipad one early evening and i asked him about it,so he showed me.I don't think he solely purchased this piece of equipment from beer sales on Soi Yamato for one minute,he has a business in Bangkok as well as a condo there

I saw one in the flesh here in Pattaya the other day(a bar owner showed it me),i was surprised when he told me he bought it here in Funtown and more so for the princely sum of 36K!!!He showed me Photos he had loaded onto it and the definition was superb(should be for that price!),but as i say 36K!!! i nearly fell off my stool

Well the last bout of 'Free' Visas included the 60 day visa which you are better off getting if you're staying longer than the 30 day arrival stamp you get when flying in to Los.I know this doesn't affect most 'Tourists' who are usually staying less than 30 days.

They now have phones in the room, but no chain on the door,they have the 'press the button' locking system still.

I never met the owner but agree the staff(receptionist/housekeepers/Security) are all very pleasant.I may be wrong but i'm sure the Hotel may be owned by the same guy that owns (Papagayo Coyote bar) on Soi Diana at the back of the arcade.I noticed when i was passing by that Papagayo had some advertising for PL as a place to stay.

Sabai Lodge Rooms are from 800 Baht (Promotion rates Feb 1st to March 31st) and 700 Baht (Promotion rates April 1st to September 30th).Normally their cheapest rooms are 1150 baht Low Season, 1350 Baht High Season and 1550 Baht Peak Season. Mark,I Just got back yesterday from Los/Funtown and spent 8 nights at Pasadena Lodge.I couldn't find a fault with the place to be honest.I normally stay at Metro Apartments but they were fully booked so i opted for Pasadena Lodge which is in the same area(Soi LK Metro).One thing about Pasadena Lodge is that their rooms seem to be slightly more expensive than most of the places in Soi Lk Metro.I booked a standard room which was 800 Baht per night.The room was on the small side but clean and had the Usual in room Safe/TV/DVD player.Bathroom on the small side but good enough imo,shower was powerf

I'm Flying on Emirates at the end of the month(Jan) and have used them constantly for a while now.I paid £480 (ex Manchester).Got this price because i booked early,when i recently checked prices are £50-£70 more for the same dates.I'm now looking at a flight at the end of May and the best i have seen on Emirates is £511 from Manchester,that's all inc.The prices go up due to the summer holidays(UK).If anyone has seen any better deals(with short layovers) ex Manchester i'd appreciate the info.

According to the website they have Happy hour 60 Baht beer from 1 pm ,so if the line up is worth staying for you can always indulge in that

They probably need marketing like some Suay TG's standing on beach road near the pavement at the entrance to the alleyway leading to where Daiquiri Hous is located..Also a flyer with a deal would entice more punters imo.Anyway being someone who will always give a new place a chance i will be checking the place out for myself anyway in Feb.

I have been in Patpong Circa 1989 in an upstairs bar and witnessed 'a couple'(both Thais) Participating in a 'Live Sex show'.Couples which insinuates more than one couple no i've never seen that.Whether this happens nowadays i wouldn't know as i haven't ventured down to patpong in years.
