I have always booked via the net. Especially for high season and got the FLB rate for the LK Metropole via the net.

Definately check out the LK Metropole, see the top of the accomadation section for the special FLB rates posted by MM. I can highly recommend this place.

This hotel was fantastic. We had the Versace room and the Penthouse for a week and a standard room for a week. The staff were fantastic, the rooms were superb and the service was amazing. I will definately stay here again. Thanks to Matrin for bringing this place to my attention. I have many photos of the Penthouse which I will post soon. The room was probably about 210m2 and the balcony with the spa was approx 500m2. Perfect for parties, it also had 3 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. The best pace I have ever stayed, also a fantastic location and all the girls said it was the best

I would have thought somewhere around 9am - 10am. Sometimes I can't wait for the girl to go and she doesn't take the hint and sometimes I prefer them to stay a little longer.

I just booked the Metropole suite (the penthouse) for 1 week at 63,000 baht and I also had to pay 10,000 baht deposit. I emailed them my credit card and immediately was given a reservation number. So far the service has been spot on!

Hi Martin, I just got an email back from reservations and the discounts dont apply to the Metropole, versace and family suites. Not to worry though I still booked the Metropole suite. Thanks for making me aware of this up market hotel

I think its a great idea. I'm stayibg at the Meropole for the first time and I have never visited that part of town before so I look forward to the new experience.

I'm confused too! I could only confirm from the website that a 2 bedrrom suite was "The Duplex". I would also like to know if it is guest friendly.

Has anyone sourced out any good deals leaving Melbourne while the Commonwealth games are on in March 2006?

I booked with flight centre in October to fly out on the 31st of March 2005. We paid $1265 + $125 for taxes. This gets us a flight with Thai Airways non stop to Phucket from Melbourne then Phucket to Bangkok then Bangkok direct back to Melbourne. There were cheaper options available however stop overs were required.
