Afraid not. we do however have a side exit which is next to the bar and opens onto the alley way between us and Marine seafood, its not padlocked but it does have 2 deadbolts locking it BUT they are easily opened (only from inside) and no key is needed. The only hazard is if the idiots parking bikes and selling food block the door but there are signs etc asking for it to be kept clear. -

We didn't have a choice too be honest, last year it cost us 50k to get the survey complete then it cost extra to buy in the signs, fit the fire bells etc, we were one of the first to do it last year and it was sprung on us a bit but i do know for a fact that if we hadn't of had it done we would NOT have an operating license. -

By law now venues over a certain sized have to be surveyed and cleared to enable them to obtain the new licenses, Blues Factory was done last January by a company from BKK, the the check up they include fire safety, exits, emergency lights, signs and fire extinguishers also you have to have a basic plan of who's in charge of what in event of a fire, the guy went through it and handed a list of what had to be done. We were cleared again 2 weeks ago for this year. Although its nice to be deemed "safe" I still wouldn't want to try that theory out. From what I hear a couple of other businesses o -

Isn't that a bit late?

The bass player is Ergodyne, on the keys is Tony himself, one of the guitarists in Kitty Guitar Gun who is one of the most famous guitarists in Thailand (after Lam Morrison of course ), the singer is Greg Carroll who once upon a time was part of the Robert Palmer band and he was also the band leader etc of The Blues Factory when it opened. The drummer is a long term resident in tonys, (great drummer btw). A good enough line up IMO to become the 3rd best band in Pattaya (after my 2 of course ) I wish them well and i'll be popping there to have a listen

Not something I normally broadcast but the wife is driving me mad as she thinks I'm a miserable bastard when it comes to birthdays so this wednesday is my 36th and I'll be having a few drinks in The Blues Factory and also putting on a bit of food. Music will be by The Rock Machine featuring Toto and of course the "Guitar King" of Thailand Lam Morrison. All welcome and hope to see you on the night. cheers DT.

Best and Most Authentic Thai Restaurants

Priced differently but Marine Seafood (the smaller one) and PLC kitchen (Jazz Pit) are good as is Lengkee. Preecha seafood in Ban ampur is superb. -
we wouldn't take away your cig only ask that you smoke it outside.

Most bars allow smoking now but there are still some that don't.

We have 3 guitarists who play blues, rock and rock n roll and between them they use a wide range of effects etc but they also play without effects so i'm sure if you have a chat with them they can sort something out. the bands don't use to many effects other than the guitar pedals, no electronic music, samplers etc.

Hot Tuna bar have got the original band (that went to play at the Lam Morrisons rock pub) back, they are good, at about 11ish their other band comes on. Tony's of course has a band as does Rolling Stone 2 bar, Zab is an ok place depending on what style of music you are looking for. Leo's blues bar in Nakula is also worth a look. Basically I reckon it depends on the style and quality of music you are looking for, Pattaya caters for most tastes.
