Stupid topic IMO. Why pay more money to eat in nicer restaurants? Given the choice and if possible i'd rather pay that bit extra and stay in somewhere nicer! These overpay comments are bullshit IMO especially when its a guy whose saved up to have a holiday to remember and the surroundings he stays in are part of his memories of a good holiday.

Bruno's Mata Hari Cherries Indian by Nature Art Cafe Manhattens All ok but at times i'd have to say that Manhattens and Bruno's are equal to 5 star hotels and some London restaurants i've eaten in.

Casa Pascal. Mcdonalds Burger King not a restaurant but some food i've had in a new hotel was a bit overhyped. Had new orleans & tequila reef from Door2door and was'nt that impressed, probably better eating in the restaurant. Most walking st seafood restaurants.

I carry a copy of my passpost pic/ visa page along with a copy of my work permit, other than that i've always got my thai healthcare, thai driving license cards etc on me.

I was having a chat with Al last week and he told me about his new restaurant “Sunset Cantina”. Last night I popped in there to have a look, Its located in the Jasmine Hotel in Soi BJ and it’s a full size very well equipped restaurant and full bar and nicely decorated with nice seating etc, It has a full menu and will soon be open 24hrs. Pop in there and give it a try.

PS. The malaysian band have cancelled.

I'm posting this now as i'm off to Malaysia on a bike trip tomorrow for one week and won't be back until 2 days before this event. On Saturday 16th September i've brought in "Purple Haze" who are a top blues band from Malaysia and they will be performing for one night only after The Blues Machine. The line up for the night will be- The Blues Machine from 9pm followed by Purple Haze who will be followed by Lam Morrison. This will be their first ever gig in Pattaya so pop in to give them some support if you're in the area. Cheers DT

Thats what i meant. I was being sarcastic towards others i'm afraid as there are complaints about ungirl friendly hotels. When the words Marriott or Royal Cliff or Sheraton are mentioned the question of girl friendliness comes up! These are quality hotels IMO and who cares if they are girl friendly or not. I've stayed in the marriott, my gym is the marriott and i got married in the marriott, its a lovely hotel.

Very nice, good food, service and facilities you should have a great time although no doubt someone will be along soon to argue because they are'nt girl friendly.
