Good luck getting Immigration to extend you past 90 days w/o having a work permit. I got a one year visa for Thailand in Saigon. I had a stack of papers from a company claiming they were going to file for a work permit on my behalf. The work permit never materialized, but I was able to use the Non-Imm B multiple entry visa for over a year.

Lotus Banchang is right on Sukhumvit Road. Once you pass that, you're almost to the bars. If you pass the Kasikorn Bank you've gone too far. You can however turn in the soi alongside Kasikorn and then make another left when you come to another paved road and you'd be right in the middle of The Strip.
