  1. You think the survey (and there supposedly was one) was fixed or influenced by patronage (backhander)?
  2. Seems okay now...it was jammed the first day, but might work until they put in the lights at the cutover junction to Pratumnak...that might cause a left lane backup on Thappraya, since Thai traffic lights are not very well set up (example is 3rd Road and Pattaya Tai).
  3. I use TRUE postpaid, so I can't help with the rates and which is better etc, However, I can tell you that you can assign 3G to your account as long as you have money in the account. You simply send a code to your mobile provider. For example, for DTAC, go to http://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/Happy-internet-package.html and you will see the codes you enter for the various time/volume programs. Of course, you have to have sufficient funds in your phone to pay instantly for the service. If you don't cancel the service, it will automatically renew when the previous one expires...if you have sufficient funds. This does not combine, in any way, with your call balance amount...you are charged at your current rate for calls up to your remaining balance. Here is the first part of the DTAC page...
  4. Your explanation makes you part of the "team", as it were. That's what I wanted to clear up for the other readers of this thread. Cheers.
  5. Yeah, that looks delicious. Any more pictures?
  6. Now that that point of order has been classified.. We're still on American Pie 2, I believe.
  7. Okay, firstly, when it says in parenthesis "uncredited", I'm pretty sure that means it didn't show up on the list of performers in the film credits. So, if you had watched the film, unless you knew him by sight, you'd not have known his name. That was the reason for my question about you knowing him personally. Secondly, if you actually looked up his name using IMDB, the "rules" are explained in the first post in this thread. The last line is important: I suppose it should say, DO NOT USE THE INTERNET rather than TRY. After 24 hours without a response, then it's okay.
  8. Seaside city, beaches, fish...hmm, maybe we could use the word "marine"? Or wait for Americans to name our businesses after a branch of their military?
  9. If you have an interest in Private Dancer and/or you are utilized by them in some capacity (web site development, banner ads, etc), not disclosing that, and posting solely as an unbiased "customer" is deceptive. You can laud their prices and their ambiance all you want, but you should also disclose your interest so that people can evaluate your comments with that in mind.
  10. Rohan Quine He's not credited as being in this film. Friend of yours or what?
  11. Matthew BroderickElection
  12. Denzel WashingtonGlory
  13. I think you should research this and get back to us.
  14. I doubt it. I'm glad you asked tho, so it could be cleared up.
  15. An American expat who started a bar and hotel named William Jones, or "Bill" Jones, used his initials, "BJ", for the name of a bar early on. His is an interesting story documented in 1998 in the Pattaya Mail http://www.pattayamail.com/295/features.htm...scroll down to the section heading in the following quote.
  16. Juju Actually the response should be another actor from the 1981 version of "Clash of the Titans". However as the game has advanced quite a way since the technically incorrect reply, I propose we continue from "End Of Days"?? Arnold Schwarzenegger? Right...Who was in in the earlier Clash of the Titans? We will backtrack to that point. Edit in: since it's been 24 hours, I'll give an answer.. Harry Hamlin
  17. End of Days Oh and just so you guys know. We got side tracked. We went from Claire Bloom - Clash of the Titans - Liam Neeson (wrong) she was in the original 1981 version and he was in the remake. Good catch! Okay, based on that revelation, the next response should be- What movie other than Clash of the Titans did Claire Bloom appear in?
  18. The Usual SuspectsGabriel Byrne
  19. Liam Neeson Taken
  20. I may have over-reacted on this one. I only traveled this route for the first (and last) time yesterday (since the lights were activated), and got funneled into 3rd road from the middle lane of Thappraya. I did not see a left turn lane available or a signal light to route traffic left...but then, I was doing what a good motorbike rider does and watching the traffic around me as we made the forced right turn. Let's see what the do to the Pratumnak/2nd road intersection now. If they don't get the lights right, the traffic will back up onto Thapprarya making that left turn. I can't help but think they will still figure a way to screw it up
  21. Since you are posting from India, I thought it was an important detail to confirm.
  22. Paul BRS in post #4 of this topic says there is a left turn to Pratumnak that only adds a bit to the trip length...
  23. Alan LaddShane
  24. The intersection at Pratumnak and 2nd road, with 3rd road tributaries is just as dodgy. They've moved the problem to another intersection. They've put up traffic lights at that intersection, but as of today, they are just flashing red. This left turn off Thappraya is a small delay (distance-wise), so it's not as dire as I initially supposed.
