Sorry, that's too general a question. It depends on what your budget is, what you are looking for in accommodation...lots of variables. For 6 months, I'd look at renting a condo in Naklua or Jomtien. Maybe someone can point you to some real estate rental sites.
-
Either Naklua (north of Pattaya) or Jomtien (south of Pattaya) will be away from the major nightlife areas. Both areas have some nightlife, but it's significantly less than Pattaya itself. Both are also easily reachable by baht bus.

That sounds like a good solution to the juice problem.

I bought a "similar" grill...a Philips gadget that had the grill and various attachments. It basically boiled the meat rather than grilling. Offhand, without making a study of it, I'd say the key to the Foreman grill is mainly the slanted surface that allows the juices to drain and the meat to cook without stewing in its juice. I will go so far as to say, the GF grill has no peers, so why bother looking for one?

I only threw in the game fixing thing to get you wound up again, joe. And, like Vic, I made the comment in the form of a conditional...you know, starting with an "if". No one else that I can see takes a statement like "If you wanted to fix a game" seriously enough to want to argue the point. I certainly don't and will concede all your reasons why it could not happen. Just browsing through the local 49er media discussions, and oddly enough, they are somewhat critical of Williams...of course, the more level-headed are saying it's just one of those things, but there is a lot of disappointment, anger, and even twitter death threats. I mean, really. 2 muffed punt returns that leave the punting team in scoring position...and they do score...both flubbed by the same guy.. It's going to be talked about. Luckily for Alex Smith, it probably dwarfs his abysmal completion percentage during the game. Oh well, next season... I pick the Giants over the Patriots.
-
I was talking about the last game played, not the season. He (Williams) had 2 major game-changing errors on punt returns. I wonder what the score would have been if Alex Smith could have converted on 3rd down. Both losing teams had single players that affected the outcome in obvious ways. I think they will get a lot of roasting from their fans. It's what we do.
-
And Kyle Williams will be remembered as the 49er who gave away the game. 10 of the 20 points scored by NY were because of turnovers attributable to him, If you wanted to fix a game, this would have been the "go to" guy...he did it all by himself.

I wasn't replying to you!

If you really mean you went for a walk around "today", during daylight hours, the only area that you mentioned that would have any real activity is the Soi 6, 6/1 area. Sois 7 & 8 don't get going till after dark, really. As to knowing what each bar is, I doubt there is anyone, even those who live here, who could provide that information...as you said, there are so many of them. If it's your first time, in the evening (after 8 or 9) try getting to Walking Street to get an idea of what's available there. As you learn more, you can start working out areas like Soi LK Metro, Sois 7/8, and Drinking Street. It's bound to be overwhelming at first...choices abound. Make a choice, pick a spot, sit yourself down, and see if you like it. Watch out for those LBs on Soi 6/1. They can be rather aggressive, and you should keep your money tucked away well and your hands over your pockets, if that's where you keep it. P.S. I've just upgraded your membership status so you can read a bit more about Pattaya on the forum.

Is this going to be another "tinned red salmon" thread?
-
Yes, they did.

Very observant of you. Dante has started another business catering to condo development/purchasers along with his wife, I believe, who has been doing this for some time. The band has been very responsible about finding replacement drummers until a permanent band member can be found.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

I don't know about that, Mick. I had to have mine shipped from Australia, but that was several years ago. I've yet to see one sold in Thailand. The one we have is our main cooking accessory for meats. I love the stuff...let's keep it.

LOL. Well, I had to do some research to find out what a "bacon rasher" was, so I learned something. Looks like Canadian Bacon to me

For anyone confused about what a bacon rasher is, here's a picture google pulled up.
