Just paid off my car and got sent my blue title book. Should I keep it with the car or separate from the car? I ask, because, in the USA, we have a similar document, called a "pink slip" (title paper), and it's advisable not to keep it with the vehicle. What are the risks of keeping the title document with the car? Could somebody then sell the car if it is stolen?

I've had that problem with a booking via Thai Airways for a domestic flight, where they wanted to use my credit card as confirmation of my id at checkin. Unfortunately, it was a "virtual credit card" issued by Kasikorn Bank, only useable for internet purchases...but no card exists. I ended up having to rebook and pay with a real card. I've never had that problem with booking a flight on UAL though. At checkin, they only ask for my passport. So, what airline, what kind of ticket (domestic or international)? It appears they have different rules based either on the airline and/or the type of flight.

Cheap haircut where I come from, 430 baht (Supercuts)...here, 60b + 20b tip. Cheap massage in Calif...about 1400 baht ($45)...here, 200b for oil massage... Yes, haircuts and massages are significantly cheaper.

I'm glad somebody knows how to get prices for individual items from that site. So, that's about 2.50 USD...probably close to the USA average. Okay, fast food is not that much different in price then, it appears.

I don't think they are updating their figures correctly. A Big Mac Set right now is 128b...over $4 USD. I can't find pricing for an a la carte Big Mac.Still I can't recall having to spend $4.15 or so for a Big Mac with fries and a drink... As it is, my overall impression, without delving into the individual menus of the US originated fast food joints, is that they are not generally cheaper. Maybe they are. But, it'd take specific menu items from the vendors in Thailand vs USA to convince me. In the meantime, I'll stick to non-franchised food.

Watching US tv during the NFL season, I noticed ads for Burger King and other fast food outfits. It seems fast food in US style outlets is a lot more expensive in Thailand...by a factor of 2 or 3. Starbucks is more expensive in Thailand than the USA too. I don't patronize these places often...why would anyone?

Yes, probably more... Let me see...ah, "companionship" on short, long time, or extended long time basis. Repairs of all sorts...auto, motorbike, electronics (many times) Fast Thai food...street vendors etc. Clothing at the outdoor markets...cheap but generally shoddy workmanship.

I thought it was a very good game to watch. At no point was it clear which team would win, until the last 9 seconds or so...could have gone either way. A good finish to the season. Madonna was okay too.

That is why I said that we can't ask that. No way of proving it, one way or the other.
