  1. aussiechic, are you telling us that, in general, buying well-known, high end, branded spirits here in Thailand is cheaper than duty free or back home (wherever that is)? I sort of get that impression from your posts, and for most countries and most high end spirits, that is not the case.
  2. That now shows up in the profile summary to the left of the posts.
  3. I think it might not be possible now.
  4. CT, I'll modify my statement to apply to those imported spirits that are not imported en masse and are usually found in specialized stores. You can buy the usual JW, Chivas, etc at 7-11!
  5. How do those prices compare to your own country? It'd be more convincing if you were to give actual prices. RhinoTusk paid 2500 here, but using price search on google, the Macallan 12 year old costs between 1200 and 1500 baht in most stores internationally. I still assert that one should be prepared to pay about twice as much locally for imported spirits. The Macallan 18 year old costs about 2400 baht in most stores, but he pays 5200. Moral of the story...if you can, buy at duty free or your home country. Much cheaper than buying in Thailand.
  6. You're wrong.
  7. WTF READ THE THREAD.
  8. You can buy all sorts of imported spirits at Friendship, Pattaya Tai. I am sure they have Glenfiddich, along with a decent selection of other Scotch whisky. Figure about double the price you'd pay at home.
  9. Yes, I went by there today, and there is one on each side of the small soi pointed out on the map. I also counted 2, and maybe 3, sticky rice vendors across from Wat Chai today. Unfortunately, there was no place to park, or I'd have had some.
  10. Might be the same stall. There is a small covered market on the north side of Pattaya Klang, just west of Soi Buakhao that has a vendor that has been selling mango and sticky rice for years. Here's a photo of the stall from pattayaphotoguide http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com/?2PxRU8jskcjAKDUA

  12. This is the best advice you'll get. unfortunately the price of pork since the flood up north has risen significantly, so the number of bars with roast pig will be lower this year. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, that reminds me. My reaction provided entertainment for many passersby on Soi Honey too. I'm so glad others have had a similar reaction! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  14. Okay, in order to test this, I had to install "your" girl...just borrowing her for a bit. The initial problem was that the file was larger than the limit set for personal photo (used to be avatar). Invision showed me how to increase that limit...so, a file smaller than 1.5M can be uploaded or linked to by url. Your file should install correctly now without modification. After linking to it, go to the "crop" thing and select your boundary rectangle. Once that is done, click DONE. Now, I have to go find a new personal photo...I lost the Jessica Alba one!
  15. Hablas espanol? Anyway, I replaced it with the English version.
  16. TBH, I didn't check. I figured after sitting 45 minutes in water being eaten a piece at a time by carnivorous fish, I was lucky to have my toes.
  17. I tried it, and the first time I did, they had to nearly hold me in the tank because it was like an electric shock with the most ticklish sensation I have ever felt. The attendant kept saying "Wait 1 minute". It was a very LOOOONG minute, but eventually, the sensation died down to a pleasant feeling. I think my reaction was not atypical, since the attendant seemed to take it in stride. Additionally, I tried it again, and didn't have a problem with overwhelming ticklish sensations like the first time.

  21. He sent me this http://4chanarchive.org/images/gif/3299838/1273608897142.gif but I can't access the file. Whoops! Yes I can!
  22. Double answer.. Michael Pate is the last valid reply in post 445.
  23. I hate to see you wasting valuable posting time on such a trivial activity. Give us the url to the avatar you want to use. Maybe villa or I can figure it out. If it's really a time consuming challenge, at least it will keep villa from posting about piss and shit for a while.
