Two blondes were waiting at the Pearly Gates and struck up a conversation. First blonde says "How did you die?" Second says "I froze to death". First blonde says "Must have been awful." Second blonde says "How did you die?" First blonde says "I had a heart attack, I knew my husband was being unfaithful so I came home unexpectedly one day and rushed to the bedroom and found my husband alone reading. I rushed to the basement and nobody was hiding there, I rushed to the attic and still no one, and after all that rushing around I had a heart attack and died." Second blonde says, "If only you'd looked in the freezer we'd both still be alive."

Was always wondering " Who decides name of Bar Girl?"
MM replied to symmer's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Usually the lady picks the name...it may be her nickname or some other name she chooses to go by. The spelling is usually hers, of if not, from the mamasan. At FLB, sometimes a girl changes her name for her own reasons, or in some cases, because there is already someone in the bar with the same name. -
Yeah, me too, after reading the initial report.

Yeah, I would think the truck driver knew a bit about "Thai Culture".. farangs is because Parkwahn is dyslexic (I would hope).

Try reading this...lots of suggestions depending on your operating system, your browser, and what you want.. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/screencapturefree/Free_Screen_Capture_Tools_for_Windows.htm

They caught the shooter already http://www.pattayadailynews.com/en/2011/09/03/black-camry-driver-caught-for-killing-trucker-in-chonburi/ Definitely road rage, but apparently, the trucker (the victim) sideswiped the shooter's car, refused to stop, cursed him and tried to leave the scene. The shooter unfortunately lost it completely, had a gun, and changed two lives forever. Two words come to mind..."collision insurance".

I know you got the one on Pattaya Tai right, because I was just there today. I also confirmed that there is one on Pattaya Nua, one on Pattaya Klang and one on Pattaya Tai. The one on Pattaya Nua is the biggest and best stocked of the 3.

That's the correct SWIFT code for KrungSri for all of Thailand. The bank account number will route to the correct branch. The code is based on the Bank of Ayudhya name that it appears they are phasing out in their public presentations. Here's their explanation page for Inward International Remittances (Wire Transfers)... http://www.krungsri....id=120&sub=true

Is that a new one? The fascino website (http://www.fascino.co.th) has the Pattaya location on Pattaya Klang, between Sois 12 and 14. I have annotated their location map below:

Actually, that is not a bad idea. I know a guy who had the address of a girl he had known, but whose phone number had changed. She lived up by Chachaengsao. He hired a taxi, drove all around looking for the family home, but gave up. The taxi driver suggested they go to the post office where he hired a postman to lead them to the house.

Note the 2nd Road sign and the awnings. How long have they been there?

Great stuff! Thanks.

Not the middle-aged one I know. I'm impressed with villaman,.though.

Have her come by the bar, and I'll load it up with some great games and applications Just a quick google search pulled up this...I think it's a fair review. The phone is the cat's meow...really. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-s2-930907/review

The Samsungs are the real thing, as are all of the Iphones as far as I know. You'd be better off buying them in Central at the Samsung dealer (near Power Buy). I wouldn't even be worried about copies at a place like that. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is absolutely the best phone I have ever had. It's going for about 18,900 baht right now, and worth every baht. The internet capability and presentation is awesome. I spend very little time on a real PC anymore, since this phone can do it all.
-
mick, give the Iphone 4 a pass and look at getting a Samsung Galaxy S2. It's a much better phone, does more, gives more, and will love you long time. Most phones you buy in the USA from the mobile providers will be locked to their system, be very inexpensive, but will have a multi-year contract that you will not be able to service. Get your next phone off Ebay (unlocked) or buy one anywhere but a mobile phone company.

And there's a good sized parking area at the end of the road.
-
You've mentioned the long walk a couple of times, so I went there tonight expecting to see a footpath with no access for vehicles. The entrance is actually a nicely paved two way road, so for those who aren't hopping off a baht bus, it's no walk at all.

How guest (un-)friendly is the Pattaya Hilton hotel?
MM replied to TF_Heinz's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
That is very bad advice. Anyone who believes what you are saying is likely to get a big surprise. But then, anyone who has followed your posts and believes what you say probably deserves it...hehe. -
The Moo portion of the address is the lowest administrative grouping. After that, in a proper mailing address, there are the tambon, the amphur, the jang wat (province). Addresses in Thailand are not at all useful for locating a building, but are more convenient for locating the right post office. The postal carrier knows where the building is, based on address, but nobody else can find it that way. For more detailed information try some of these links http://www.google.com/m/search?q=What+is+a+moo+postal+thailand&mshr=13&msbs=1&mscq=&mscm=&popt=1&pbx=1&aq=&oq=What+is+a+moo+postal+thailand&aqi=&fkt=1153&fsdt=23036&cqt=21525&rst=13292&htf=&his=&maction=&hl=en&csll=&action=<oken=1313e958

Thanks for the report, Rick. I've heard good things about it, but have never been myself. For those interested, here is a link to a map with their location shown.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

They aren't that stupid. -
Happy gogo and alcatraz memberships?
MM replied to voodoo's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Righto. No gogo has a membership requirement. Some gogo security guys have either taken it upon themselves, or been instructed by management, to tell people who look "Indian" that the gogo is "members only", or you can go in for say 200 baht/person to waive the membership requirement. If you are in that ethnic group, you can thank your parsimonious fellows of the same ethnicity for making this situation. -
I just ate there this morning (as you know), and it was quite well prepared and tasty. That was the medium English breakfast...120 baht, good value!
