The forum software upgrade will be taking place on Monday, May 16, 2011. The board will not be available while the upgrade is proceeding. Once the board comes up again, it should be on the new Invision version 3 forum software. Customizations, like links to other pages (e.g. FLB Webcam), colors, advertizing, etc will not be implemented until later in the week. After the upgrade, all posts and personal information should be available.

That's a good point. I have a Kasikorn Pattaya branch account, but when I go to Bangkok, the leeches charge me to use the Kasikorn ATMs in BKK (like 10 or 15 baht). In Pattaya, it's free because it's in the same province as my branch. Gouging, pure and simple. It's a national bank, but they act like they have to do some extra effort to make a transfer from another province. I'm sure it's all on the same computers and network...and if it isn't, then they are really screwed up.

Yes, generally...some earlier, some a bit later if busy. Closing times normally have been due to staff work hours, not police orders. This closure is also affecting the late night, early morning venues.

I booked a room at the DREAM Hotel (soi 15 Sukh) this weekend, and was quite happy with it. Their night rate for the king room was 2350 including breakfast. I booked it off latestays.com at the last minute. After I booked, I went to their website and found essentially the same rate, so you can book directly with them. The rooms are nice for the price.

Bullshit. There is no native facility in the software to read PMs. The board admin has to install an unsupported unofficial mod to read PMs. This facility does not come from Invision, the authors of the board software.

I think so. You need to BLOCK them from sending PMs too. Who's been harassing you? I can put them in the same group as villa so they can't send PMs at all

In case anyone was wondering, Pattayatalk has not installed PM reading modifications to the board software.

I'm waiting for someone to fill us in on other areas. I've only been on WS during the crackdown. Anyone?

Not 4am ... as I've been reporting it's closer to 3:30 lately...and I'm already out there at that hour. You did see the part where I said "I wish I were single"? That refers to me, not you or anyone else.

I remarked to a friend that I wish I were single during this crackdown, because even I could get laid by a hottie without paying a barfine or buying drinks. There is a huge opportunity out on the streets the past week.

The report from tonigh: I spoke to a gogo bar owner who said that 11 (that's right, ELEVEN) gogos were raided last night by the Bangkok police. They were looking for everything from short time rooms, tits out, underage, drugs....essentially a fishing expedition for anything amiss. This happened in the earlier hours of the night (11pm to 1am or so). In other news, tonight Marine Disco WS was closed by 3:15, all gogos were closed by about that time, with the exception of Sweethearts, who apparently didn't get the word. Insomnia and Ibar were closed by 3:45pm. Beer bars with lights out and no music continued to sell past the gogo/disco closing times. The streets were flush with hot girls with nowhere to go. It could be heaven if you plan accordingly.
