I read this post with some concern, since we occasionally have a customer or friend of the band who will sing or play with the band. It's all part of the enjoyment of the moment and has been done spontaneously without concern for the legalities...which apparently are not on the side of logic. Just last night, we had two customers sing one song each with the band. In both cases, patrons left the bar during the songs and there was a net drop in custom. I don't know if that was coincidental or not, but to say that the bar profits off the "work" of unpaid musicians should also consider their playing or singing ability I was wondering if, by having a token amount (e.g., 10 baht) paid by the volunteer musician, the bar would essentially be selling a service/performance to the singer as part of its business. I would think that would be the way the karaokes operate, where they charge you to sing a song. I don't think there is any characterization of that as "work", since the singer is paying for the right to sing. So, if you want to sing at FLB, get your 10 baht tokens ready.

A couple of points. I have never seen an internet instant transfer rate over 35 baht with Kasikorn, so that is surprising to hear. I use the instant option all the time. Transferring to another Kasikorn account is free, as I recall. Regarding the security feature, you have 2 choices...either a One Time Password (OTP) is sent to your registered mobile number via SMS (or apparently, email as you state), or you can have a PIN-2, second security code, that you enter when making a transaction. If you set up your account for the PIN-2 feature, you don't have to deal with the SMS, but you are limited in the kinds of things you can do with the account online. For example, you cannot add a new Payee without going into the branch or sending them some paperwork, where with the OTP, you can add new Payees immediately upon providing the sent security code. Changing from SMS to PIN-2 can be done with a phone call to their call center 0 2888 8888...I think if you want English, you call 0 2888 8800.

Hootys will be closed for a while until it can switch to a new format. In the meantime, Roxy, which already had a good lineup, has gotten an infusion of new staff from Hootys that makes it a virtual garden of earthly delights. Last night they were full for a good part of the evening.

That's a damned good question, N3RGT. Okay, it's kind of convoluted, but what I have found is if you go to the main forum view (click on Pattaya Talk Forum above the advertising banner), you can scroll down to the line just above the member list that has the option for TODAY'S ACTIVE CONTENT. Click on that, and you will get the posts for the last 24 hours. Now, if you want to change the time period, go to the bottom right of the displayed page, and you will see "Active in the last 24 hours". You can change the time period to 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 months or a year there.

My understanding would be to pay full price for the 11th drink or buy a second drink card. Incidentally, nutosf's explanation is good to know, because I always assumed the card was only usable by the purchaser for his own drinks.

Regarding skins....the software comes out of the box with exactly two skins...one for the full screen view, and one for a mobile view. Skins can be obtained, either free or purchased, but they have to be customized individually, and that means more work for yours truly...

You can see your posts, or those of anyone else, by clicking on MY CONTENT (either from your userid menu in the upper right of the screen), or from another user by clicking on the symbol to the right of their name in a post. Both actions will give you a choice to view MY CONTENT. Click on whichever one you brought up. Now, once viewing someone's content, on the right of the display is a box with a button next to it that says UPDATE. There are three choices... view all topics xx has posted in or started view all topics xx has started view all posts by xx where xx is you or the other userid. Choosing the 3rd option gives you your posts from the most recent to the oldest (I'm pretty sure of that).

I've never used TOT, and over the years, I've had problems with 3BB. Nearly all my problems/outages with 3BB have been because of their messed up billing. I pay online, and they have changed the payment account or my account without notice. Then, I find I am cut off for lack of payment, even though I was sending the money to the last known account. It's sometimes taken days to get it resolved. Most recently, I switched from an old MAXNET package 2MB/1MB with limited users to a newer 3BB 12M/1M package with more users. I'm now getting 6 or 7Mbps download speeds. So far so good, and I am once again happy with them.
