  1. Bars will be closed Saturday night, but will be open Sunday night. That's the word right now. Same for the weekend of the 3rd.
  2. That's the way to look at it. I'd hesitate to stay in a hotel that didn't offer complimentary wifi. And I'd certainly not worry about those who'd paid more for their rooms or had bigger beds, anymore than I'd worry about who had a bigger shower or more water pressure.
  3. As someone who provides free wifi service in my establishment, along with paper towels in the bathroom, aircon, service staff, live music, and a host of other business costs, I consider wifi access a cost of doing business. There is nothing "elite" about expecting wifi service, though some elitist tools like you think it's a hi-so privilege.
  4. Agreed...and everywhere else it should be free...hotels, restaurants, shopping malls. It makes no more sense to charge for wifi than it does for water, lights, aircon, escalators, toilets. Get with the program, world. Wifi is now a utility.
  5. Here we go again! That's what I was thinking would happen. It's been so peaceful lately.
  6. Okay, let me put it another way... It's like giving a recovering attention whore unsolicited attention.
  7. It's like putting whiskey in front of a recovering alcoholic.
  8. villa's been good. Why stir him up?
  9. Post 212 Post 214 Two movie names in a row.
  10. Apologies to the OP, but what are you thinking? Two-toned "new" PCX that's 6 months OLD and travelled the length of Thailand 3 times for 14% less than the new price This should be in the FUNNIES section.
  11. LOL. Good catch!
  12. That's a lot of travel in 6 months on a motorbike. Some things to consider. A new Honda PCX sells for 69,800 baht. http://www.motorcycle.in.th/staticpages/index.php/Honda_Motorcycle_Price_List The length of Thailand from the Laos border to the Malaysian border is about 1800km. 6000 km is equivalent to driving the length of Thailand about 3 times. I've had a motorbike for 6 months here in Pattaya, and it has 800km on it. I'd certainly not call it "new".
  13. Rhino Agogo soft opening last night was a surprise. They had a full lineup of girls. Thumbs up!

    1. Yzi

where do they get these names? Hard to figure how "rhino theme" fits a go go.

It gives you the horn....I do have memories from about 15 years ago of a bar in PI that had a Rhino horn on the tables...not a real one but a light DOH!

  14. Yeah, I saw him on Soi Buakhao yesterday. He was just as you describe. Sad, really.
  15. As I recall, they have a special fixed price affair during the week that is at a big discount.
  16. I've been meaning to give this place a try. Thanks for the information!
  17. Thanks for clearing that up.
  18. Okay, let's not scoff at that. If I withdraw 120,000 THB, I save 120 baht, enough for a lady drink in many gogos.
  19. Have I been missing out or did something change recently with regard to bank ATM fees? Last night, I needed to use an ATM with my Kasikorn ATM card. The nearest ATM belonged to TMB (Thai Military Bank), and I was in a hurry, so didn't walk the extra 2 minutes to go to a Kasikorn ATM. I made two withdrawal transactions of 20K baht each, and each one had no service charge. Normally, the charge for using another bank's ATM varies between 20 and 35 baht for each withdrawal. Is this a new thing, or something TMB has been doing, or some fluke of their computer systems? Incidentally, the last time I was in BKK, I used a Kasikorn ATM, and they (my own f...ing bank) charged me 15 baht because I wasn't in the area my bank branch is based.
  20. Take your victim blinders off and read what you wrote (my highlighting) compared to the other posts in this thread...snidey snidey, and obnoxious to the other posters in the thread. I merely pointed out that some of the points you were making were exaggerated, based on the prior posts in the thread.
  21. Because your post was so incendiary and obnoxious. The others were relatively polite.
  22. All in all, the facility looks nice for the price. Some people have commented/questioned the location. Admittedly, from the map, it does appear to be well away from either Pattaya Tai or Pattaya Klang on 3rd Road. The OP posted it is a short walk to Pattaya Tai, when asked. Nobody mentioned an issue with walking the short distance once he responded, so I am not sure why you make such scathing remarks as if they did. The other major issue, and one that several commented on, is the light blocking density of the curtains, especially those shown in the photos during the daytime. They do appear to let in a great deal of light, and for many, that is an issue. The OP says the photos are misleading. Okay, but they show what they show. Those curtains do look nearly transparent in the photos. I think you are over-reacting to some IMO legitimate questions that have been posed by a few members.
  23. Gogos tonight...Toyz, relatively busy, cute girls...Club Relaxxx, swamped by a trio of "old friends", Showcase, a great lineup...but pricey.
