I went in there last week and there were 3 customers around 4pm. They get a lot of movement of food off their delivery service which is on Waiters-On-Wheels and their own delivery people. So, I'm not concerned about their stock rotation...so far. The food ordered by phone arrives quite hot, even up in Pratumnak hill area, so they must have some fast drivers. Incidentally, I just checked some sample prices from their menu and from WOW. Big difference. S&S charges 210 (delivered) for a French Dip, for example, and WOW charges 325. Be advised.

The Thai government is blocking ustream.tv and justin.tv from within Thailand. Apparently they were afraid someone would do live video of the demonstrations that might show something they didn't want Thais to see.

Yeah, I see what you mean. It's currently (and sporadically) blocked by the Thai government censors, since the video is hosted on ustream.tv.

Everyone says the Golf Club does an excellent steak, pork chop or salmon barbecue. Also, Charlie's on Soi Honey does a great T-bone steak dinner on some nights.

When you say "Euro Kitchen", I assume the property has an oven. Does it? Without an oven, it's a bog standard Thai kitchen...without the propane tanks.

LOL. Montydog, the bar has been taken over as of July 1 by new owners who generally have very well kept feet...at least, the Canadian guy does. Give it a go or a visit. It's a whole new ownership group and they are undoubtedly responsive to BM comments...unless you have a go at them about their feet.

I got the advice and pre-stamped package in the podunk post office, but the package was mailed in the "big city". It's not a big deal. The item wasn't that expensive, and certainly no one would steal it. I am having the phone repaired her in LOS for about the same amount. If the package ever arrives, I'll have a backup screen replacement for when I drop it again.

Yep, USPS Priority Mail. See, the thing is, I had ordered something from Amazon while I was in the USA that said 3-6 day shipping time. I had 7 days before leaving, so I had it sent to my ex-wife's home. Then I got a letter from Amazon saying that the product would arrive in 6-12 days! So, I went to the local podunk post office in a town of 1000 and asked the postman about shipping to Thailand. He told me USPS Priority would arrive in 7 days or less. What does he know, I suppose? He's probably never been out of California. But, I believed him. I bought a small packet, addressed it, filled in the customs form, and bought the stamps ($13USD). I gave the package to my daughter and asked her to insert the contents of the package from Amazon into the box, seal it, and drop it off at a post box. It arrived the day I left (about 2 hours after my flight departed). Still waiting.

I've been waiting 40 days for a USPS shipment of a simple thing like a screen replacement for a mobile I ordered from Amazon.

I think UAL's Business Class 180 degree seats are competitive with the First Class seats now. I see no reason to go with 1st Class, except for the wine selection
