If you think pattayatalk or pattyapages are porn sites, you need to spend a little more time online surfing porn.

Having one of those days, eh, short? That's what happens when cousins marry. Okay, that was a dig at your origins from ALABAMA.
-
And there is absolutely no reason it should.

That's because you're from Birmingham or thereabouts. Don't even bother to open these technical threads. It will make your head spin. -
I don't carry rain gear around, because I always forget it when it stops raining. But, when it rains, I just pop into 7-11 or Family Mart style places and buy a rain cover for 39THB or so. It goes over your head and covers your body down to your knees. When it stops raining, leave it, keep it, or toss it. I guess that makes me an LDOP.

Oh, here we go again. You've got the ball rolling though. Let's see where the sentiment lies. I'm no expert, but it seems to me that Germany will dominate England. Oh, how about 3-1?
-
I know it's hard to predict the results, but you do keep trying. Keep it up. As you may have said, if you keep making predictions, you're going to get one right...if you're lucky.

Just an addendum to this thread. RS is now selling rights to watch the FIFA World Cup for 3000THB, regardless of how many seats or TVs are in the bar. We just got our license, which is prominently displayed on our front door, just in time for the America and England Group C final matches. Consequently, we will be showing the rest of the games in the series.

You didn't do too well on this one either. You did get the final result right, however. But your scoring predictions are ... a bit off.

Looks quite good to me, and I'm not English. In other words, I'd eat it. If you're asking if anyone but English could finish it, that's another story altogether. I doubt I could.

I just paid 6K+ last month for a 2 BR condo, direct from electric company at the 3.5b rate. Hmm.
-
Yeah, you did so well on your last prediction. Why not give it another go?

Let me try...I can't figure out what you did, LDK.

No issues, no security concerns. Works fine if you have a decent internet connection.

There is a pretty good repair shop in the basement level of Tuk Com. The shop is called Amorn.

It was a good party with a good turnout. I dropped in for one drink and spent a couple of hours there instead. Lollipop has a good line up, and the girls look even better after hammering a few beers with the host! I was tempted to stay more than the 2 hours, but had to leave to go back to my bar for closing. Mark, I hope you survived the night. It almost looked like you were trying to stay sober No luck there, buddy.

But there is no way this should be in the Member's Bar. Gabor, you know that. Off to Off Topic.

I just got back, and this will be the first party for me. See you tonight, Mark.

I just got back from the states tonight. I've been away during the entire WC so far. I had a chance to talk to my manager, Moulie, and she passed on some interesting information. Apparently Chang is no longer providing licenses. I have no idea why. Contacting RS directly, they say that their license fee is dependent on the size of the TV. The prices vary from 2000b to 4000b, from small screen to projection TVs. There is no 10000b fee per TV...at least, not now. Singha contacted her and offered to license for the WC for 5000b for each TV. I leave it to you to guess what her answer was. After being up 36 hours, I might have gotten a few details wrong, but that was the gist of what I think I heard.
-
I'm in the USA now, so I haven't been there for the WC games. Have you been out around town and seen the WC playing on screens openly in beer bars? Or is this RS licensing and the strict fines causing the games not to be shown?
-
What I don't understand is why chris heaton had to get an RS license to show a broadcast carried over Slingbox which was sourced in the UK and shown over an internet feed.

BigD -- book it! Emil -- that's good to know. I haven't used the reservations number for a long time, but when I did, if I was willing to travel on other airlines, on a generally roundabout route, I could get where I wanted to go. chuck -- I didn't know that 1K showed different availability. Good to know. I still think the program sucks more than it used to.

Thanks for checking and clearing up the super saver award issue. Premier Exec is pretty low on the totem pole, but it does give you marginal elite status. You are competing with 1K's and Global Services customers, of whom there are many in the international travel market. I have Prem Exec, and as I said, when I checked there was nothing PHL-BKK up to and including Dec 2010. If you did find a seat in Dec, that's half the battle. You also need to find a return seat that matches your most flexible schedule. This all goes to your claim that you can use FF miles (65K) to travel to BKK from Philly on UA. I don't think that holds water unless you plan on travelling next year whenever a seat opens. However, if you call Mileage Plus International Reservations, they can frequently book you on a Star Alliance partner that may be a little out of your way, have a longer travel time, but you will likely be on a better airline (nearly anything is better than UAL). So, it is doable...at least the last time I tried it. I typically don't use FF miles for 2 reasons...they are hard to book when you want to go, or you have to do a multi-stop multi-airline route to get to where you want to go, AND because I need all the miles I can get to achieve whatever elite status I am trying to make that year. But, now that UAL is really making the FF miles hard and/or expensive to use ($350 seat upgrade copay!!), I am planning on using all my FF miles and switching out of UAL ... it's been 40 years that I have nearly exclusively used them, but with all their changes, I am ready to change as well. Plus, the cute stewardesses of the 70's are the same ones that are flying now, but they are called flight attendants and they are old, fat, and grumpy.
