  1. There's a school in Rayong also.
  2. Hi Sam, avoid Pattayaland Sois 1-3 then. I walk there sometimes but just in the early mornings. elef
  3. Swim? yes a nice beach 150-200 m - same street Here's a good internet map
  4. Sure, 2nd Rd/Soi 5
  5. Hotels in Thailand are normally guest friendly. You can have an indication if you're checking the hotel rates - if they have both single and double room rates and if you book a single room you'll have to pay the difference for each visitor. (Once in Patong Beach an american guy was not too happy he had to pay 4 x 250 baht.) And more expensive hotels (over 2000) often have a joiners fee or don't allow it at all. Just general rules so many exceptions. elef
  6. Hi Isabellla, it's the same area but the distance is too long for walking if the sun is strong, I guess it's at least 800 meters. elef
  7. Hi, have you looked at a map of Thailand? Pattaya is not close to Hua Hin and also a bad place to find a job as teacher as too many already do the same. Why not try to find a work in Hua Hin or Bangkok? elef
  8. Hi, yes it's probably a gay or gayfriendly restaurant in the Boyztown area. I've never seen it and can't find it on internet. In Boyztown area you'll find places like A-Bomb Boys Club Boyz Boyz Boyz Charlie´s Boys City Boy`s Bar CLASSIC Boys Dream Boys Funny Boys 2 Lucky 777 A GO GO BOYS Star Boys Bar Tai Boys The City Boys Bar Toy-Boys Bar Vibes Boys elef
  9. Re Sabai Spa I googled and found this
  10. Tom, what I heard 2000 he made nice profits selling Sabai Room and Sabai Land to finance Sabai Dee and later the hotels, the nightclub, the restaurant and the island. But maybe he has bought back those MPs again - nothing will surprise me. I you look at the map however Sabai Room is not shown - on that place is Sabai Spa, Sabai Land is just beer bars . Sabai Spa btw some has more info because I don't remember such a place 10 days ago. elef
  11. Tom, both actually see this One of the URLs you see there http://www.sabairesort.in.th/ is linked to the Sabai Lodge HP. Actually the big boss owned Weekender before at same time as he owned Sabai Room but sold both, to build first Sabai Land and sold it, finally Sabai Dee and the rest around Soi 2 and now Weekender again - some weeks ago they used the name Sabai Weekender. elef
  12. You can find more info on the HP of Sabai Lodge
  13. Hi, do you have a special reason for stay in Jomtien? Jomtien is nice in the day and I go to Jomtien some days for the beach, but never even thought about stay there. The nightlife is very limited (just a few beerbars) as it's mostly families (also thais) and gays who stay there. In the nights transports from Pattaya are complicated and sometimes dangerous (big risk for robbery), so stay in Pattaya if you're interested in the nightlife scene as your second question indicates. elef
  14. Hi, you find it here elef
  15. Hi Isabellla, Aisawan Spa and Resort I didn't remember but a google gave me the old name Garden Beach Resort If you're travelling with your family and especially with small children and want to spend the day around the pool I recommend Aisawan Spa and Resort. But it's located in Naklua and a long way from Naklua Rd so all transports will be tiring. In all other situations I recommend Siam Bayshore, which also has one star more. elef
  16. Have you seen this ?
  17. Hi, they really heat the water? - I've stayed in many hotels in Thailand and only one I've found doing that is the Oriental! Normally you don't know if you use the warm or the cold water.......
  18. Ekamai - Bus station in North Pattaya Rd 2½ hours (or more if traffic jam) No other stops in Pattaya
  19. Hi Turbo, shelves you can get but hot water is a bigger problem in hotels up to 1000 baht. I think you must find a 5-star hotel to get that. Cheers elef
  20. for hangovers I can recommend 2 bottles of Chang......
  21. It looks like that all airlines are increasing the miles for upgrades now. 30 k to 40 k for many and may be necessary as more a more miles are accumulated by the travellers, but to ask for money also is just stealing. elef
  22. Hi rawlins, no and I've never seen a review or even heard of it. A google gave this result elef
  23. 1,600 square meters
  24. Hi, it looks like nobody knows the conditions in Korat/Nakhon Ratchasima. I know some new land prices in a village NW Buriram city and closer to KK. 10 rais far away from the road 400 k, 3 rais at best location 3 millions but that included a nice house. elef
  25. Probably he hasn't access to the members forums yet. I just returned from trip 25 or so and Pattaya is far from busy, it's easy to find rooms in hotels and the prices are low, some bars in new areas as Drinking Street don't have any customers at all.
