  1. 2007 was mentioned in a thai newspaper some weeks ago. The last date announced by the government was end of june, maybe it will be ready in september, december (King's birthday is suggested) or 2007. All international traffic will move there, maybe also domestic. It's rumoured that USAF will lease Don Muang.
  2. Ask if the ticket price include the extra fuel charge and taxes, an one month ticket from Copenhagen is around 30500 baht and that's the price they tell you, efter fuel charge and taxes it's 36500!
  3. Some guess it'll be operational in september but who knows?
  4. Sure next station and that's Ploenchit Station.
  5. Hi, go to one of the 3 big sopies Sabai Dee, Sabai Land or Sabai Room and ask the manager for what you want. Other ways too but I think this is the easiest.
  6. I agree about the skytrain because if it's traffic jam it may take over 1 hour with a taxi. It's more than 2 years since I went from Ekkamai to Soi 4 (just after Landmark) with a taxi, I think it took 30 minutes och the cost was around 60 baht, it was 2 pm and not really a traffic jam yet. With light traffic maybe 15 minutes and 50 baht but that's just a guess. If there's traffic jam it's faster to walk, with luggage skytrain is the best alternative but often the train is crowded too. So if no luggage or just a small bag I usually take a motor bike taxi.
  7. I stayed in Phuphaya Resort in the beginning of february and the construction works were not ready then even if the HP of Mind Resort said it had opened in december, which I doubt.
  8. Everywhere and they're of course cheaper than the hotels, but if you want real low prices go to areas where no tourists stay as far up Naklua Rd and inside some soi.
  9. More and more hotels ask for it today, fax is also a lot safer than internet for you. So if you want to stay there you have to do it or find an other hotel.
  10. Male masseurs are normally gay, but I see 2 different ways contact a normal massage parlour (maybe there's one inside your hotel) and ask if they can fix a masseur for your wife maybe Nobody Massage can be the place as they have both masseurs and masseuses, but still I think the masseurs are gay - but why not? phone an escort agency - they have males for ladies but if they can give massage is the question, but then you must use your hotel room or a ST hotel
  11. Edp, songkran is not on the same days all over Thailand as you can see here
  12. The official Songkran is april 18-19 (see here) but as always in Pattaya it's a whole week and must start the 13th as Eneukman and his travel agent said.
  13. Some call it misinformation some call it sense of humour I wanted to see him with his hipflask and the reaction. And you destroyed it all guys,
  14. This is the hotel forum, we have one for airline questions. Etihad has not yet a frequent flyer program. Note also that it's strict non-alcohol.
  15. Narathiwat elef lowlife
  16. J House is closer to the beach, but Nautical Inn is just a 100 meters or so away, I haven't stayed in anyone. Nautical Inn is in the Soi 11 area and 800 - 1200 baht, J House is near pattayaland and 650 baht. I googled the prices so not sure about those.
  17. As I mentioned before it's both easter and songkran the same time.
  18. Hi guys, it's not just easter it's also songkran, you'll be wet! elef
  19. On your way to Pattaya you can see the signposts to the new airport since at least a half year. Probably the domestic flights will stay on Don Muang, but there're rumours that the airport will be rented out to the USAF. Departure tax will increase - I've heard 800 but it may be 1000. However it will be included in the ticket price.
  20. As he posts in dutch/flamish and not in english I guess he wants to find an other guy speaking the same language with the same flight september 28, who also wants to go directly to Pattaya so they can share the taxi.
  21. You are both correct - in april (?) TG announced that the 2 cheapest classes (V.W) would not earn miles (same for other Star Alliance members like SAS) from june 1st. Now they have changed it to 50 % instead.
  22. Hi, the number of cabs from Pattaya are very limited if they exist at all. I've seen a few in Jomtien and south Pattaya and they may be local cabs, but can also be BKK based with drivers owning condos in Jomtien. Actually many of the limos used by hotels are also BKK based. So I don't believe in and never heard of taxis from Pattaya waiting for return trips in airport area or anywhere else in Bangkok. In Pattaya you can find taxis waiting for return trips near Mike's, but also further north parking beside the places where you can book such trips for 800 or 850 baht. 300/350 for the taxi maffia and 500 for the driver. One late friday evening I got a price of 500 including toll roads. elef
  23. Hi, Peace Resort has in-room safes and a nice pool. Rooms have different standards - 2 beds or king-sized. My advice is to tell what you want and don't book one of the cheaper rooms. elef
  24. Hi, one question - why Sois 6 - 9? Either move up around Sois 2/3 or further south closer to Walking Street. Anyhow I think there's just one hotel which is close to your wishes - Penthouse. elef
  25. No, not without the help of a moderator or an administrator.
