The reason I asked this question in the 1st place was I am having a problem with accessing the Pattaya Talk opening page on some days no matter what I try! Other days like today absolutely no problem! Someone advised me to clear my "Cookies" but up to now not bothered as provided I can access twice a week that is sufficient!

FFS If this is the way you interpret "Teelack's" post then you have a serious comprehension problem! Nowhere did he state that it was anymore IMPORTANT etc than the other quoted tragedies! We all grieve equally and commiserate with the surviving families and support them as best we can as PROVED by the inpouring of sympathy for the 9/11 victims! The way I read his post is that this tragedy is inclined to be more PERSONAL than the others quoted, as unlike them with NZ having such a small population a majority of ALL of us know either a victim or someone that knows someone affected! Just looking at the place, in the LOW season, and especially for your length of stay, I would honestly be very surprised if they knocked your 48000 bht back! However that large deposit still looks like sheer GREED to me! Maybe your "PAY RISE" is far greater than mine!

Jim Why not offer them the 26000 bht you thought fair before? I bet they would readily accept it particulary for the time of year! Any further news on the very large "Up front" payment required? I do note that the rooms are not that large, being only 32 sq mtres INCLUDING balcony!

Of course I DON'T stay there! Only stayed the once, hence my personal opinion! They have front desk staff with an arrogant attitude towards B/Gs. I do not travel halfway around the world to watch TV! I'm too old and dis-interested in both swimming pools and Gymnasiums! A majority of places don't have Joiner fees! I'm not interested in Breakfast, unless it's still served at around 7pm! Finally I'm not very keen on parading my "Lady" of the night in front of large numbers of family groups, not that I'm ashamed or not proud of my conquest, more that I have to bite my tongue f

I mostly agree, but this place is long overdue a refurbish, and IMPO is overated and very expensive (particulary Monthly rates) for it's "Quality"!

Thanks, but unfortunately I fear you might be to late as the Kilkenny was sold to the Champagne owner about 8 weeks ago. Kitchen might still be operating but downstairs shortly, I am told is going to be converted to another "GOGO" named "MASH"! Maybe the rooms will be retained. Also apparently rumour is that the Liquid Lounge will be converted to another "Coyote Bar" again no idea about the future of their rooms!

Then you would be taking it very WRONG, unless your paying the Monthly rate! Many of these rooms are in fact far bigger, cheaper and superior in many ways to the BJ Lodge and their ilk!
