How long does it take to get to the US Embassy in Bangkok from the Nana Hotel by taxi ?? Is there usually a long line to get in ?? I need to get some pages added and that would be a convenient time to do it.

There are a lot of us who enjoy Bangkok. Many people split their trip with at least some time spent in both Bangkok and Pattaya. With the opening of the new airport the transportation cost of visiting both going to rise significantly. Not an unsurmountable problem but it still needs to be taken into consideration.

We already have the use of air bases in Thailand. I doubt we will start up one for our exclusive use. Be nice though. There would be military and civilians willing to kill for a chance to go there.

I'd be interested in that myself. To download them just right click and select save image as, but to use them in a post without attaching them as a file, I haven't a clue.

Most sites ask for that number to verify that you have the card in your possesion. It depends on how much you trust them. I gave details to Majestic Suites to reserve in advance and had no problems. Areca Lodge in Pattaya did not ask for a number in advance, but they had just opened for business. Might be different now.

Stayed there first week in September. Excellent value and very guest friendly. If you play pool there is an excellent pool room right next door. There is a beer bar right next to that with a fair selection, and Walking Street is a walkable distance. Mike Shopping Center is a two minute walk at the end of the soi. 1. Go to the store and buy (as in "pay for") a full copy of windows xp. Do a full install with a hard drive format. 2. Choke the owner/operator of the store that did such a balls up job of installation in the first place. 3. Three grand to reinstall an operating system that they bitched up in the first place? After loading a bootleg copy of windows? Next stop should be the better business bureau, then a good lawyer. Hell even a mediocre lawyer would have a ball with this one. There is a huge fine for using bootleg software in a commercial setting, which is what they are doing.

Actually they are better than most. They are behind the counter and you have to be buzzed through by staff. You have to bring your own lock to put on the locker though.

Stayed at the Areca Lodge in late September 2004. Large clean room, nice restraunt, guest friendly, although they keep the guests id until she leaves. They have their own web site arecalodge.com I think, google to be sure. 900B if I remember correct. Highly recommended.
