  1. I have problems with photobucket ! The pictures do not appear on the screen and I have to open them manually one by one. Is there any solution ?
  2. Bought over the last 3 years a number of glasses at Top Charoen shops. Service was excellent, lenses are ok but not as sophisticated as i.e. lenses made in Germany. Nevertheless you can save a lot of money with buying this in Thailand.
  3. I used mr. Tooms service once, My luggage (a normal sized suitcase) did not fit in the boot and had to be transported on the backseat ! The reason for this is that a gas tank was built in taking a lot of space. I'm not much in favour of transporting heavy luggage on the backseat as I see this as a potential danger for passengers in case of an accident.
  4. I love to go though all these series. You have an eye for detail and the obvious scenes. Next Saturday I fly back to Pattaya for a stay of some 8 weeks and one of my 'projects' will be to also cover 'daily' life in town just as you have done in your series 'what I saw today’. It must be good to see these pictures again in a few years from now. Keep up the good work !
  5. The cost of this downside can be calculated using the formula: (12 months – months actually lived in the rented condo) * monthly rent So money wise the total risk can be calculated in advance and it will reduce every month you have lived in your place.
  6. Calculation wise you may be right. I think however that besides inflation and changing interest rates you also should include (one way or the other) uncertainties associated with owning properties in Thailand. Amongst others these could include: political (in-)stability, diseases as bird flue, dengue, etc, changing laws w.r.t. owning properties by non-Thai, changing tax regimes, what will happen to the country in the era after the King (he is now 78 years). Increasing prices for flights to- / from Thailand. Another risk is that you might get ‘nasty neighbours’ (i.e. door bangers,
  7. I went through the slideshow but none of pictures provided info on (asking) price.
  8. This was Mr. Toom's reply to my comments: So sorry for bad trip on Thursday and so thank for send good comment to me because i can't to know what ploblem on the way yes i know who take care you on a trip in last time she good driver have good comment 1) for the car now every car have to chance from petro to gas lpg for safe cost and must have gas tank. 2)That is problem 3)That is problem too and i will find way to good service later So Feileacan, I'm afraid that next time 1 Large suitcase, 1 large rucksack and 2 fairly big gear bags will not fit into the boot anymore !
  9. To be honest: I was not impressed. My normal sized suitcase (1 piece) did not fit in the boot, as a gas tank was installed. Therefore my luggage was placed on the backseat. Which is in my opinion an unsafe practice. Furthermore the driver was driving during a substantial part of the trip unnecessarily on the most right side of the 4 or 6 lane highway with a speed of approximately 90 km/hr causing many cars to pass us full speed on our left side ! Also a very long telephone call (with a whispering voice) was made. Halfway the trip I mentioned that I was getting cold. However, it was i
  10. Try also this one the next time: http://r24.org/thailandguidebook.com/ Excellent service and 'not expensive'.
  11. I booked Mr. Toom's service for tonight 22.00 hrs (Pattaya - Bangok). If the service is oke I will ask him to also privide transport from Bangkok to Pattaya one month from now.
  12. Never heard off and never been there. What makes the place so special ? Could you give some more info (i.e. pictures) ?
  13. Make sure you take a look in the A1 Fitness center. It's not big but all you need is there. It's part of the A-One-Golden-Cruise Hotel on Beach Road (Soi 1- 2).
  14. I want to comply with Thai tax laws and regulations. It is not my idea to pay tax but I assume that there is (also in Thailand) some form of a duty to inform the tax office on your annual income. Am I correct ? Do you have any experiences ?
  15. Somewhere in 2006 I want to settle my self in Thailand. Amongst others this means that annually a tax-form needs to be completed. Can someone recommend me a reliable (authorised) bureau / fiscal advisor which could provide me assistance ?
  16. As per somewhere in October I want to spend (say) some six months per year in Thailand. As I will be there for a considerable part of the year I want to (at least try to) learn to speak Thai. Does anyone have experiences with Thai language schools in Pattaya (both good and bad experiences are welcome). How much time do you estimate will be involved to learn enough to be able to keep a basic conversation going and (important for me as I am Dutch) how much money will be involved. Also addresses will be welcome. Thanks for your reactions.
