My Way Restaurant Near 2nd Road & Soi Diana
halfaboy replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Good food, but when you finish the whole dish (especially with something like 'stamppot') you will not eat for the next three days. Thanks for the review and have fun ! -
Yes, that's what I was referring to. Even cheaper than I thought. Seems to work (in most cases).
-
Google on DAZER and look where to buy. Works in most cases. Costs are around US$ 50.

IMake sure you get a multiple entry visa in case you will be leaving Thailand within the period of validity of your current visa. If you don’t have this, your current visa will be void as soon as you leave the country and you have to start the process of getting a year visa all over again. Costs for as M.E. visa are (as far as my memory goes) 3.800 Baht.

Some BMs concept that thai guys are lazy can be so wrong
halfaboy replied to Dr Mick's topic in Expat Issues
You paid them roughly 650 Baht per person per day. With this you created a win-win situation. They have a good salary and you are happy with the work. By the way, who developed the colour scheme i.e. the white lines here and there etc. Did you ask permission to change the colour from white to (partly) reddish ? -
Transport from Bangkok- Airport - Jomtien
halfaboy replied to Gonzo's topic in Transport in Thailand
Ther's another option which are the minivans leaving Bangkok at Victory monument. Costs are around 150 baht and they bring you in one go to Pattyaya / Jomtien (depending on which bus you are taking). -
When comparing the one way fare for the boat with the fare for minibusses it's 1.600,-- baht vs around 350 baht. The minibusses leave Pattaya from central places (i.e. Tops) and end in the center (or where you want to be) in Hua Hin. You have ton change minibus in Bangkok, which may take 10 - 20 mins.

I found the follownig info on the web (link: http://www.samui-finder.com/en/koh-samui-i...y-in-thailand/). Import and Export of Currencies Import: You are allowed to import any currency in any amount to Thailand – including the Thai Baht! If you take foreign currency in value of more than US $ 10.000 US $ into Thailand an import declaration at the customs at arrival is recommended in your own interest. Otherwise you may run into problems if you take the amount out of Thailand again – see below. Export: In case you export foreign currencies in value of more than US $ 10.000 US you hav

Not sure if they are the cheapest, but at least they are reliable: http://www.fastcarhire.co.uk/?pickcountry=...amp;fc=&tc=

The dates look a bit strange to me.

Maybe you should contact the 'Woman and Child Protection Unit' of the Pattaya Police. They keep office in Banglamung and are quite active in these cases. They could be of help by giving you advice. Their office is located on Sukhumvith Road (coming from Pattaya) on the left side. Look for the sign for the Thai fish restaurant Mum Aroy (in Thai script). Wish you all the best.

You could contact Fascino. There are (at least) two branches in Pattaya. One on Pattaya Klang (not too big) and one on Pattaya Nua (almost like a small shopping mall located almost opposite Lotus). Unfortunately they don'y have a website but I found on the following telepnone numbers for their Pattaya Klang branch: +66 38 361 803 or +66 38 361 804. Once you are a regular customer you are entitled for a discount card. Good luck !

I went through your psot again and I missed any information on discount. Did you try to get some ?

Gonzo, thank you very much for your long and interesting story. It contains all sorts of details I would like to hear (including the gossip over the sales lady). Next time no need to walk all this distance as there are baht busses driving on Sukhumvith Road. The colour is white and if you don't go too far it will cost you 10 baht per person. Good luck with your purchase and any updates will be appreciated. Hb

Their food is absolutely great. Had a few times a 5 (or 6) course dinner for 550 baht. The service is not bad, but needs some attention.

No need to earn the 150K. If case of future sale of the business you get your money back (hopefully)

Expats advise on Rental Car and Motorcycle Rental Business
halfaboy replied to pattayafun's topic in Expat Issues
I would also worry about liability. If you are considered as the owner (you financed 100%) you could be held liable in some cases of accidents or other problems. Would 50% cover your costs as i.e. intrest and depreciation and can you both agree on the definition of 'profit' ? -
It is also on the menu of restaurant 'Pagoda' located in the Jomtien Complex - Soi 2 (089 8041 450)

Monthly rent a studio 5000 baht range
halfaboy replied to sanuk scouser's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Cristal Palace (Naklua Road - opposite soi 14) has some decent rooms for 300 Baht / night (if you negotiate). This hotel is somewhat out of the center but on a busy Bahtbus route.
