  1. Yes another very moving place I have been. So many young men laid to rest there and quite a few from my home town.
  2. I lived in the Cz Republic for 5 years and went there several times in the depths of winter and it is one the most lasting poignant places I have ever been to in my life. Somehow the feelings you get there is hard to put into words it may sound wrong but anyone who gets a chance should go there. Even seeing your pictures again made me feel the cold silent atmosphere and I’m sat here in my condo in Pattaya now. In a good way a very good reminder of how lucky we was and are not to have lived during that nightmare. Thanks for sharing. BTW did you get chance to go into the Salt Mines also a very interesting place ?
  3. Correct it’s at 99% so sent a PM. Thanks
  4. Real pity about Dynamite it was just getting going as well. Just another example though of how tough the business is in Pattaya to survive. All about location location and foot traffic of the masses . Any ideas why I cannot upload anything above 1MB always say file is too big ?
  5. It never ceases to amaze me what I stumble across in this city. Met some friends at a Thai restaurant round near the Land office tucked up on the small Soi’s. The restaurant is full of all sorts of stuff pretty amazing god knows where they got it all from. The food wasn’t bad either but a bit slow because it’s busy.
  6. I am there now first time we’ve been here quite impressed I am surprised at difference between here and Pattaya. It’s seems quite busy I’m also here with the wife and kid so been to the market and tonight on the pier for thai street food. Staying at the Hilton and it’s a really nice hotel can’t fault it.
  7. Privacy alcove is pushing it a bit far 😊
  8. This picture really gives a perspective that you don’t imagine when you drive along second road
  9. I didn’t pick up on that but I’d say a bit of a planned piss take

  11. On the off chance anyone’s looking out for somewhere to buy some home comforts I by chance stumbled on this place when stuck in traffic. I have seen it before but it’s one of those places that says it’s open but doesn’t actually looks like it is if that makes any sense. It lists a lot of different Cheeses and I thought I could just do with a Cheese and Onion Cob. I saw Red Leicester mentioned so I thought let me see. Well what surprise it’s like an Aladdin’s cave of ferang stuff once you get inside. The best selection of Cheeses I’ve seen in Thailand lots of Bacon and Sausages and loads of pies and one of my favourites Pork Pie. Got home and bloody hell I’ve forgot to buy any butter from Big C for the cob. Anyway if anyone is in Udon wants to find it it’s on the opposite side of the dual carriageway to Big C as you head into the town. It’s called Cheese 2 Meat you. Cannot miss it as it’s all Yellow. There is quite a lot of foreigners in Udon when you pay attention so it must do quite a good trade because there is hardly any places catering for them here it’s the first one I’ve stumbled on and been coming here for the last 5 years. Did have to laugh at the wife she’s telling me so you can come and live here no problem I had to tell her it’s not that good 😁

  13. Just walking down a small Soi off Soi 5 Pratumnak and stumbled up on these wonderful examples of British Cars when they was in their prime. Pattaya just never ceases to amaze what it has to offer in many different ways.
  14. Anybody know this location ?
  15. Not Pattaya up country burning the fields no wonder there’s poor air quality drifting across the country.
  16. Just shows how much notice I take of these things I’ve been taking Azilsartan I assume for Cholesterol and Vivacor for BP for the last 6 or 7 years. i was taking Rampiril from the UK for 5 years before and after a while being here I started to have a reaction and my whole face swelled up and it only happened when I ate Prawns. Of course everyone said it was seafood allergy but the BPH doctor changed my tablets and since then no problems and BP well under control. BTW I had full heart check a couple of weeks ago at BPH the full monty and I thought the price of about 6k baht was very reasonable having said that I haven’t a clue if it’s good or bad price. But putting that into perspective if I was in the Uk I’d probably have to wait 6-12 months to get it done nowadays even privately.
  17. Might seem a bit niave but what are all them pills for ?
  18. Just a selection from around Pattaya when the family have visited and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
