thx all, i've seen a thai flight departing 1230 on may 29 arriving at 0605? which i'd prefer, returning jun 17@1225 arriving at 1830. journey times also seem to be the same. i believe the evening flight from lhr makes a stop en-route for refuelling!

i actually flew with etihad in january 06 to bkk from LGW. the plane landed over half an hour early!!! legroom ok between AUH-BKK-AUH but its a tight squeeze between LGW-AUH-LGW as they use a third party plane for the moment?

hello all, looks like i'll be making one more trip to LOS this year. i'd prefer to come in september but i believe that month is the worst due to heavy rain. Now, i'm looking to travel on around may 29 for 3 weeks with the first week in bkk & then 2 weeks in pattaya. (Looks like my wedding is on hold at the moment.) I was wondering what the weather will be like for this period in bkk & pattaya? Your views would be helpful!!!

Again my deepest apologies Paul, went to the airport on time but i kind of decided to change my tix to a later flight (don't know why???), Jan was great. she waited for my return and brought me back to pattaya to sawasdee sea view. luckily, they had my same room available. Its been a long day so give Jan a rest. by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You are one LUCKY guy to have a lady like Jan!!!!! This time though, I'm definitely returning to bkk airport on 29th jan

agree with csm, usually with outlook express, it downloads emails from the server and saved to your pc therefore it is only accessible from your pc only!

i'll be staying til the 24th in pattaya. i will try to extend my stay at the airport so i might see you in Nana... thx for the share request though!

not spent much time at the hotel but its more than likely that you will probably get a room with a double bed even though its a single occupancy. best thing when you arrive ask for a double or contact the agent you booked the hotel thru and request a double. usually, a single and double price is the same!

unfortunately, looks like i'll be staying in pattaya until tuesday...but it may change in a few hours. i have some unfinished affairs to take care of...

hotel is guest friendly...staying there now but i did book a double room though. they do have a sign at reception saying "no joiner fee"

hi ya Paul, my sincerest apologies for not making it on the 19th. i didn't expect to enjoy bkk that much cos usually i tend to stay there the night before i fly out. i'm also sorry that Jan came home late on the 20th, the traffic on sukhumvit was a killer. Now there's a big possibility that i might be heading back to bkk, on the 22nd around 12ish, is it possible to maybe do a ride-share on sunday? I will still pay the full amount! Its the least i can do!!! i will let Jan or yourself know by saturday... or today if you are reading it now. Again my apologies.. thx

GREAT SERVICE!!! Jan was there on time, even though my flight came in early, it still took over an hour to get thru passport control. Had a nice chat en-route. One question Paul, how come you don't drive? Let Jan have a break!!! i will be paying 7600baht for 2 nights stay (solitaire premier package) inc breakfast, all taxes, round trip airport transfer (which i won't need). it is a bit more pricier than the majestic grande but you do get a bigger room & extra inroom amenities than the grande...

probably!!! but the in-room amenities seemed to be slightly better than the grande ie 42in plasma, bigger room, dvd player, kind of in the middle of nana & cowboy & more or less same price as the grande...

stayed here 3 times, very good, inroom safe in the new wing, no guest hassles. if you contact them directly, you might be able to get the standard double in the new wing for about 1000baht... would have stayed on my final visit on jan 14th but they're fully booked.

oh well, the flight time is almost nigh. 4th & final visit to LOS. I'll definitely pop in to the FLB & make a toast to all that pattaya has to offer. See you there in the next few days...

welcome to the forum, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with sterling t/c but amex t/c would be preferable. most places will probably charge a handling fee, more so with the sterling t/c. best option is to take some t/c as backup along with a debit card, credit card & cash. you will get a decent rate for cash though, better than UK rates. i'm also coming next week, flying in on sat morning. i'll just be bringing cash & cards, so i might see you there!!!
