  1. Emirates shortly to announce 3rd daily service Manchester-Dubai starting 25th Oct using 777-300 leaving Man 0820
  2. A380 showers in Economy ? or are you flying first class ?
  3. Thai along with BA have high cost bases (which need to be reduced) Looks like Thai will covert A380 orders to 777-300ER/200ER and perhaps A350.
  4. Bangkok Post is reporting Thai Airways will shortly be cancelling A380 orders !
  5. Yes i agree latest Qatar figures are not good. Lets see what QR do when Emirates go 3 x daily? Also same applies to Etihad ! Rumour is QR could route the Manchester service via another EU country ? Lets hope QR continue as i will be flying with them ex Manchester to HKG in September.
  6. Looks like SQ will pull Manchester-Singapore W.E.F 1st Oct. Rumour also Emirates will commence morning departure from Manchester giving three departures a day to Dubai. Future SQ customers will be routed through LHR to feed the A380.
  7. The main difference you will find with the A380 is less outside noise (engines) compared to the 777/747/330- The problem with this is interior noises are highlighted (ie) babies crying/ people snoring etc etc
  8. Even if the price was £50.00 i would not fly with Turkish Airlines ! Why ? See the interim report on the recent Amsterdam aircrash - Pilots flying the plane - I don't think so !
  9. Starting 1.7.09 AirAsiaX will go daily Stansted-Kuala Lumpur
  10. 8 hour layover in Doha on return leg ?
  11. Make it quick as strong rumours circulating MAP - SQ will pull the service ex Manchester soon.
  12. SQ - Singapore Airlines ex Manchester !
  13. pics of the first flight STN-KUL http://www.persfoto.com/categories.php?cat_id=498
  14. Heard a rumour AirAsiaX will have a promotion day at Liverpool Street Station on Wednesday 11th March when some free tickets will be available.
  15. Sorry should have been first class £10,000 !
  16. TG solution charge £10,000 business class LHR/BKK - I kid you not !
  17. Yes i agree 6 x A330-300 due 09 now delayed until 2010 remaining order put back to 2011. No doubt Thai taxpayer will have to provide more funds for TG.
  18. Tom I agree TG reminds me of BA in the 1970's - overstaffed by at least 20%. Airbus 380 schedule planning still shows :- Serial No MSN 070 = A380-841 Serial No MSN 072 = A380-841 Serial No MSN 075 = A380-841 All showing delivery to Thai as 2010/4Q - Suspect therefore delivery dates will be pushed back to 2011 or will be cancelled and taken up by Singapore/Emirates/BA. ?
  19. I don't think Manchester City need more supporters to fill their stadium especially when motorists here in UK are helping to increase the transfer fund ! Not only are Emirates looking at a 3rd daily ex Manchester rumours are they are looking at flights ex Cardiff and double daily ex Glasgow. And as i said previously Emirates fly quite a high percentage of passengers ex UK to Australsia. If SQ do pull out of Manchester you can bet Emirates will increase capacity.
  20. TG have been operating A340 on LHR-BKK route since mid Jan ! Hopefully A380 will operate on this route late 2010 providing TG can get rid of their Government free loaders !
  21. One of the biggest markets Emirates serve ex Manchester via Dubai hub is Australisia. SQ also serve this market ! Latest rumour is SQ will leave Manchester in November 09 ! Don't forget SQ need to fill their larger birds ex LHR (380)
  22. Singapore Airlines reducing frequency as from May to 3 x weekly. Could this bring forward Emirates plan to 3 x daily ?
  23. For members who have booked flights Stansted-Kuala Lumpur :- A340-300 ex Air Canada (reg 9-M-XAM) arrived Stansted yesterday and departed tonight at 2230 for Kuala Lumpur for full maintenance checks & cabin reconfiguration. Looks ok for commencement of service in March.
  24. Rumour circulating that EY or QR will quit Manchester in 09 !
  25. If Thai Airways are selling at less than 500 then you can expect non-direct operators such as Qatar/Emirates/Etihad to be selling around the 400 mark for low seaon.
