I stayed at the Lek Hotel on 2nd Road between Sois 12 and 13. I found that the location was very convenient. It is easy to get to Walking Street, Sois 6, 7 and 8 and the Soaps and bar complexes near Big C. The baht busses are frequent, although I had to wait for one for 2 minutes once.. There are also few good bars in the Soi 13 area.

I would like to add comments about the service provided by Jan and Paul. I used Jan both from and to BKK. Jan was punctual and great company on both journeys. She even patiently listened to all my ramblings on how much of a good time I had in Pattaya on the return leg. The service may cost a bit more than others but I think it is money well spent. Paul, expect an email from me next week for my next visit..

BTW I am leaving on my first to Pattaya in just over 13 hours and was in your position about 3 weeks ago. You will have your eyes opened a lot here.

Thanks for all you comments. I think that you guys have posted what I suspected ie the story has been around a while and is dubious at best. If I thought this sort of thing was going on all the time I wouldn't be going there in 4 weeks. There is two things I will be doing. I will be trying not to drink too much, (this will require some effort) as Mr Stiffy becomes Mr Floppy. I also will not be accepting a little pit from any of the women!

I'll be there from the 22nd March until the 4th of April. Never been to Pattata before so would love to catch up with someone who has to get some pointers. A few beers wouldn't go amiss either...

During my information gathering I came across this article. It relates the story of how guys have been getting drugged and robbed. Some people have died due to the druggings. I am new to all of this so perhaps this is not news but I thought I would post it anyway as a warning/reminder. Any comments would be appreciated.
