I cannot comment on Honey inn, don't know the place but I can highly recommend Viewtalay, especially Viewtalay 2. Good Pools, good rooms but this does depend on the condo owners taste. Its a short walk from Jomtien Beach, has some Bars across the road and its a 10 minute baht bus ride to Sth Pattaya.

That is as long as you don't mind having me as a neighbour at Xmas time. 1luv

Ten minute ride to where all the action is in Pattaya, what is jet propelled or something or may be a helicopter. Give me a break mate.

Well Sunny I have traveled back and forward quite a few times on a motor scooter and I couldn't do it that time. To get from the corner of Sth Pattaya and Phratamnak Rd's to Thappraya Rd used to take me at least 10 minutes.

So, YOU were that F*t guy on a Moto I used to run over twice while I was walking from SOPA Road to Soi Arab twice lately? In this case, please accept my sincere apologies!

a friend of my uncle stays honey inn he likes it stays there all the time good location and cheap.but i think you can get better for money.i have seen the rooms and cafe etc and the photos on the net must be 20 years old unless they have refurbed in the last two years.i would say if they are your two choices go with viewtaly but if you want viewtaly judging by peoples comment on here book now or you might not get a room at viewtalay maybe you wont get room on walk in even at honey inn as it will be full during christmas.pm gabor he has what looks like a nice condo if still available good luck

I am glad a few others do not agree with Bigmike concept of time. I must admit at Songkran and New Years Eve it has taken longer than 10 minutes but then all of Pattaya is jammed up at these times.

Anyway neil let us know what you decide on.

I suppose it depends upon what you do during the day, what your priorities are and whether you want an apartment or an hotel. For me, if I was spending my time near Walking Street I would wnat to be somewhere near there to make a shower and change easy etc. If i spent my time near Soi 2 I would probably choose an hotel near there etc. I just can't make an argument for Jomtien unless you want to spend the day on the beach and cruise some of their bars at night.
