Guys,

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel near the British Embassy in Wireless Road,Bangkok, please ?

I will probably need to go to the Embassy for a couple of days early next month and to stay in close proximity would be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi Zidane,

Have stayed a couple of times at Holiday Mansion on wireless road opposite the british embassy. Best price if you book thru agent walk in rate is higher. I think i payed 1000bht walk in was 1300. Reasonable hotel and big rooms was okay for the price.

Actually you could stay at the Nana Hotel, Dynasty, Majestic Suites or any in that vicinity. It was only a 20 min walk to the US Embassy and would be about the same for the British Embassy. I think the taxi was about 90 Baht or dare to have some fun and use a tuk-tuk.

I'll enclose the link to there website, if you're needing general information. There hours had changed after the tsunami, but should be returning to normal

If you are after 5* try Nai Lert Park (fromerly Hilton).

Had a night there about a year ago(while still the Hilton) and was a fine hotel.

Prices on their web site from 3800b seem reasonable for what you get.

i always stay at the Conrad... it's next door and pretty much can't be beat for a quality hotel. your girl will be impressed by the glassed in bathrooms too. Oh, and especially by the free "Chang" they leave on the bed for you (i dunno why but all the bar girls seem to love stuffed animals)

I stayed at Holiday Mansion on Wireless road about 4 years ago. The hotel is near the British Embassy. I don't remember what I paid, i think it was about 1600 baht. It's a nice hotel and I got a breakfast buffet in the morning.

cheers
