Okay if this works then the links below should be good for 2 of the double mile offers from United. One requires tuesd ay wednesday travel, the other is for certain fare classes. The is another one but I can't find it at the moment. I will probably fly the tue wed route leave on a wednesday come back the next wednesday. fares on those days go as low as $725. 16000 ff miles for trip. 16000 ff miles for dbl miles offer, 16000 miles for premier bonus. For 725 I will spend a week in Los earn 48,000 miles (almost another free trip) .

Damn it. I used to fly from Hawaii on United when I lived there and racked up a lot of miles. But now I live in Florida and Delta is the only way over to LOS with a decent miles program. So I cant take advantage of it. :crying

Thanks Cowboy,

Appreciate your United info...your past posts and this one. Keep 'em coming.

Just became a premier member myself...the miles do build up fast.

Have a good one.

In 2003 I spent $761.00 (roundtrip total) Chicago to BKK on United.

Check Yahoo Travel or Travelocity (same same) for deals. Leave your dates open and choose from the dates United has available. Right now they have deals from $695.00 + taxes.

As you look farther out, closer to summer, the prices seem to rise. I'm concerned I'll pay a lot more to travel in June as planned. Lowest fare I can find is about $1100.00.

Try Priceline.com about 40% of regular rates. You don't get miles but who cares when the ticket costs $600.00 from kansas city to bkk. Normal cost is $11 :beer 00.00 u.s.

Not necessarily true especially this promotion. If your a United Premier Executive you get double miles on your flights, with this promotion you would be getting triple which from your location would equal one free flight. If you paid $1,100 then the effective cost would only be $550 as you would be getting 2 flights. Beside this lower cost you would be sitting in Economy Plus instead of economy whic provides you an additional 5" of legroom. Another benefit of Premier Executive is they will move you into Business class when available without you having to use any of your miles, this happened to me on my last trip on the leg from Bangkok to Narita. :D

cowboy,

Didn't you get the link that I PM'd you. It was on your reply to me when I PM'd you 18 Jan asking you for the United double miles info you posted on 14 Jan. I had to PM you because you never reponded to my post following yours. Oh that's right you never replied to my PM so I couldn't have used your reply. :D I don't know why you ignored my request for your assistance as I was in LOS and couldn't call United myself for the info. Maybe because I'm a supporter of George Bush you don't want to associate with me. Anyway to show you that this conservative has no hard feelings and I'm in a good mood right now here is the link you requested.

Cowboy, Emil

Thanks again, for the Double Miles info. What a great resource this board is.

Just booked a MAR 31 - APR 20 trip as a Premier Member (25% mileage bonus) using code MPD 425 to receive double miles. Will be at Premier Executive level after this trip...double miles all the time...nice.

Will buy you guys a Heineken some day.

Take Care, Bill
