I`m arriving in Bangkok on the morning of the 17th July and have to be in Buriram on the evening of the 20th.I`m planning on coming to Pattaya for these few days.

What I would like to know is,how to get to Buriram from Pattaya?

Do I have to go back to Bangkok (in which case,I might as well fly to Buriram),or can I get a bus/mini-bus (or taxi) direct to Buriram ?Has anyone done this journey ? Any idea`s on how much it`s going to cost ?

The bus is very cheap foret how much exactly.I have taken a vip bus to changmai before the vip bus is very comfortable. But when i went to buriam from pattaya i paid for vip bus,the bus was blue and said vip but it was at least 20 years old,had small seats and i had a numb ass after 20 minutes.Maybe i was unlucky :beer there was no way i could handle that coming back. When i asked at the bus station why the bus was not like the bus to changmai. They told me there is a better service called nakhon thai air,for an extra few baht well worth it,more room and more drinks and snacks on the bus

i think it took about 10 hrs.imho the train is much better but you have to go to bangkok you can take the train from pattaya to bangkok very cheap and hop on another train at bangkok i think it goes direct to buriam from bangkok. But the train will take you 4 hrs from pattaya to bangkok although it is a nice way to travel.Do an internet search for thai trains to make sure about connections so your not stuck in bangkok to long.I remember looking a while back iam sure you leave pattaya early and only wait a short time in bangkok.Or you can take a taxi or bus to bangkok.Taxi about 1000 baht, never took bus to bangkok i think it is 100 baht.Good luck
