Eye exam and glasses

I have seen posts here about contcats, but nothing that contained the info I need. I have lots of astigmatism, and finding an optometrist who can figure out the correct prescription for me is a challenge. I live in China, and as blind as all the people here seem to be, the doctors of all types are a complete joke. Anybody know a good place in Pattaya to get my eyes checked, and also a place to buy glasses? Two different places are OK. For the glasses. I'm looking for cheap, well made, attractive frames with really good lenses with a very high refraction index. For the doctor, I'm looking for skill - low price would be nice, but if not, OK. I found great glasses when I lived in Taiwan, but third rate doctors.

The big fella upstairs blessed me with a +7 I gave up as everyone only seemed to cater for short sightedness (sp). You might be just as well to have the eye exam done here and order the contacts on line....

Hi Para. Where is "here?" As mentioned above, I live in China, and nobody I have found so far is even halfway competent.

 

Also, I'm looking for glasses, not contacts.
