Hi guys,

This is my first post here but have alwas read and been guided by your great advise in the past.

I am heading back to pattaya in july and i wanted to know just where i could buy a good quality copy watch. I have bought a few before but as soon as i have got them home they have stopped or the hands have fallen off! So if someone could point me in the direction of buying a decent one and an indication of how much i should be paying i would be grateful.

Thanks guys.

I always buy mine from the guy with a 'market stall' type of stand inside the Royal Garden Plaza outside McDonalds on the ground floor.

Have purchased Rolex,Omega and TAG from him during the last 4 years, and all are still working well and have not tarnished to a lovely shade of green yet?

These copy watches are not cheap, as they are all HongKong copies, as opposed to 'cheaper' Thai copy's.

Mr.Boon normaly charges about 1750/2000 baht per watch and will have it waterproofed for an extra 100 baht if you are prepared to wait an hour for this service.

He usually arrives at his stand after 3pm, and his work associates will deny any knowledge that these copy watch sales exist if you aproach any of them prior to his arrival.

As I say, You pay a little more, but the quality is far superior than any wondering beer bar salesmen.

Prince.

I know places in bkk not Pattaya. Rolex copies are shit for the most part, beware.

Tag's and Breitlings are very good copies at about B1000. I have sold many of them on Ebay and Yahoo auctions.

Thanks guys for your replies.

Carcareers i totally agree with you the rolex copies seem to be totally crap so will try tag, omega or breitling this time.

Princepattaya do you ask the seller for hong kong copies as opposed to thai copies to get the good quality ones.

Thanks for your help.

try to get a copy watch with japanese guts, the better movements cheaply made are from japan

go to the south pattaya market, opposite the Wat Chaimongkol and a little further up the street.

way in the back is mr. wong and the watch lady.

Beware of those 200 baht watches they sell at BigC. Bought a Diesel copy six months ago and the wrist band breaks while walking out of the store. Ok, cheap watch, no band, no problem. Buy new band. Then the face falls off. Ok, cheap watch, new band, no face, no problem. Now wondering how water proof is this watch? Just came back from the tropics where it rained everyday.

Now new band, no face, still ticking. So I guess I've gotten me $5 worth out of it. Later, SB

I found this site really helpful to sort out the fake Rolex 'industry'. Seems even in the fake market there are degrees of quality.

PS: this site is also a good source of info re Thai gold.

  • 1 month later...

Hi i'm new to this but have done Pattaya 5 times in 12 months and had bad experience with watch people.

Saw a watch guy who said he could do a Yachtmaster in one day and ok price gave him bg no and yes he called next day ready but price up b2000 he said extreme job so higher price i said forget it.

10 calls to bg tel followed which we ignored and then quiet.

I go Bang Airport next day and in taxi bg tel get 5 calls we say no but still call ?

Solution Taxi Driver take phone and in thai say "stop ringing my sister and my brother is in south pattaya police and we have your number"

Needless call stopped but has anyone had 15 calls on one copy watch?
