taffy.

I got the e-mail as well. All the prices exclude, taxes and fuel surcharges. Given that the carriers are now charging anywhere between 60-odd and 100-odd quid for the extras it makes a bit of a nonsense to promote the basic fares.

How did your escapade with the tasers finally end up?

Tom

Hi Tom, I've had two trips to London now in the Magistrates courts and it has now been pushed up to the Crown court for sentencing, I'm up next Friday and very worried, it now carries a 10 year sentence according to my barrister although that is very unlikely in my case, I hope to be able to finish the trip report with good news after Friday, if you don't hear from me then it's because I am on another type of holiday.

ps thanks for asking

taffy,

The situation stuck in my mind because, up until then, I didn't realise possession of the things was illegal. On my last trip I was tempted to buy one of them or the baton things they sell alongside them. There but for the grace of God and all that ......... :o

Best of luck come Friday.

Tom

I've just gone back and read your trip report, nasty.

I'm worried now,my house was searched in February (for an unrelated matter) and they found one of the tazers in my bedside cabinet. It was there for home defence if ever needed and I haven't even got the torch excuse, it was a real tazer.

I haven't yet heard what, if any, outcome that will have for me. I'll have to consider whether "I bought it from a man in a pub" is better than having brought it through customs. Given my situation, I could lose BOTH my jobs if that went to court. Bugger.

Best of luck on Friday, hope we'll hear from you.

Brian whatever you do don't admit to bringing it into the country, the man in the pub is better as one of the bad points in my case is the fact I was caught with them in an airport, I hope that you hear no more from the police as it's a nightmare to go through not to mention the loss in wages and the costs, I wish you luck.

Hi Jack, I remember meeting you in FLB I think (when you were on your first trip ?), it was a party night I think and you were sat in the "comfy" seats watching the contest lol

thanks guy's for good luck wishes.
