It has been said that they will start to limit the amount of times one can take the Visa run to get another 30 days in LOS but that has been Rumored for a long time. Ask this Question or do a search on the Thaivisa board

This was rumoured to be the case at Had Lek last year, but turned out to be just an off the cuff comment by the Immigration boss there who 'wanted it to happen'.

After that, there was the nonense of charging a 1000baht 'fee' for those who didn't remain out of the Kingdom for at least 48 hrs. This lasted about a week, before being revealed as bullshit, (probably started by the hoteliers in Koh Kong  )

Not at Aranya...........but at Mai Sai up north it's common.

I have never been to Mai Sai so I cannot say one way or the other. But for immigration officials to ask people to show any kind of funds at any of the border crossings is ridicules. Only an idiot would pack 10 or 20 grand with them at one of these places and to start flashing it around in front of people that have never even seen that much money before is just asking to get robbed. Could the officials really be that lame in Mai Sai.? Doesn’t make much sense to me. Does anybody really know what time it is?
