I have read on the stickman site that some where in Pattaya there is a barbeque place, where you can cook your own food. It is one of those places that have all kinds of meats and veggies and you get to cook them at your table,On one of those butane type grills. :clueless Does anyone know of such a place, I think it might be a bit out of the way from Pattaya. Thanks in advance. Bignasty

There are a few around town 2 on Third road off of Central Pattaya Road (Pattaya Klang) The one Emil and I have been to is 109 Baht all you can eat and they do have a bunch of different Seafood, Meat's,Vegetables, as well as noodles and Rice and other dishes also. Good value for the money and the TG's seem to like it. There is also another one just past this one on the same side of third road 3 times as big and only 99 Baht but never been to that one so can not vouch for the place. Also no butane they use Charcoal. Really fun night out.

There was a restaurant on the second floor, if memory serves me, of the Royal Garden Mall that had grills in the table. It was on the same side of the mall as the Sizzle only one floor above. You ordered a meat and/or fish platter and it came with different vegatables that you cooked yourself. It was on the right hand side of the mall if you were facing 2nd Road. I don't know if it is still there or not. The grill used charcoal. The wait staff would get it started and you cooked the food the way you wanted it done.

Korean BBQ, OK but nothing special, pain in the arse with the food getting stuck to the cooking surface, and it's only the sauces that make it tasty.

MK, the boil in the pot items are mainly pork, fish and vegetables, and once again it is the excellent sauce that spices things up. There are plenty of side dishes that you can order, and the duck with green noodles is very tasty.

MK restaurants are very well run and popular, it is not unusual to have to wait for a table, and in Bangkok they even take your order on a little electronic organiser.

Personally, I much prefer MK to Korean, as does my TG.

This is true but MK is nothing like a BBQ as everything is boiled except the other items you order off the menu.

I've been to the other one on Third road - it's great. Food and drinks for three people came to less than 600 Baht. Not bad for eat as much as you want - good seafood and meats (Give the pork intestines a miss though). I was getting a foot massage in my regular 'salon' and the massager girl and a hairdresser were talking about going there after work. I asked if I could come and instead of giving them tips for the massage and haircut, I would pay for the food n' drinks. Good night out. Then walked along to excyte where we caned a bottle of 100 Pipers after which I managed to persuade the hairdresser to 'come and see my apartment'...
