Hey Ya'll I should ease into Pattaya in mid January, I dont drink, should I plan a different destination? I understand most people like to get lit up, I cannot afford to drink any more, I need a place to unwind and relax with a beautiful woman, could anyone recommend a place? I am also interested in some sailing, can anyone advise?

Sho nuf 'preciate the come back..

There are Hobie Cats for rent on the beach in Pattaya, but the water is not exactly clear.

I have been in contact with Gulf Charters in Jomtien and will probably be chartering with them in a couple of weeks if they have anything available. I have not made a reservation because I want to check out the boats first.

If you are really into sailing, and relaxing there are probably better places to go than Pattaya.

Did you think about staying in Pattaya for a week, look for a girl you like and than move with her to Hua Hin. I'm sure you find sailing opportunities there (Google). To stay I can recommend the Hyatt Regency in Hua Hin, it's pricy for Thailand but it's wonderfull !

drinking and whoremongoring are mutually exclusive events, at least for me.

most, no all the tbg's I've been with prefer that you not drink and normaly have stories of there thai boyfriend/husband who drinks to much.

the bars/hostess/waiteress don't give a shit eighter as a coke/water/coffee is just as expencive or more than "drinks" and are never on happy hour prices.

most of the lady drinks you buy are just soda.

as long as you buy a few drinks and tip reasonably well you will be treated well.

your judged by how you spend/tip not what you drink, except maybe the farangs.

go to pattaya, enjoy yourself.

if I was serious about sailing, I'ld shoot down to phucket for a few days.

cheers

rb

RB,

I think it's not that he does not drink it's that he can not afford to drink unless it is because of health reasons that he can't afford to :clueless

I am taking a break from, drinking its been 11 years, and 6 months, 3 days, 17 hours

:eyecrazy

I figured I was a drunk for 20 years I can quit for 20, almost proved that I can quit for short time . - RIGHT?

I am not an experienced sailor , but I would like to learn some more and maybe just go along as an extra hand on something a little bigger than a"Hobie"

I appreciate the feed-back but I would like you to be a little more descriptive I can cruise the web but I decided to post here instead for more detailed information

Hua Hin? is that a "plug" or is that honest feedback? how much difference? what is different? and different from what?

Phucket is that "slang"?

Ok ok...!

I was dead serious!

Hua Hin is different, it's not about BG's, it's more up market, it's not about drinking.... How much different :D

I was under the impression that you you didn't care too much for the mongering and drinking scene, so I suggested to look for a nice girl in PTTY, take her to Hua Hin where you have more opportunities for watersports.

Take a look on the net.

I stayed at the Hyatt there and I was impressed (Did no sailing though).

So, January is the busiest time?

I could come up in March -is that better?

And why would anyone spend $130. a night at Hua Hin? when the other motels are much less expensive(barring the fact that you are Royalty)

And, where da flux is Hua Hin?

Hey, if I am spending 3 weeks on this vacation the least you can do is hook me up with some good information. I Demand satisfaction! Oh, I say this with tongue in cheek Da Huh.....

PS thanks for the time

Because it is worth it. You don't 5* quality for bargain basement prices but you'd have had to stay in a 5* place to appreciate what you get.

Duh, 1 mile? 5 miles? 20 kilometers?

Did you ever hear from books, maps, internet, travel guides,... :D

I have no access to reading material, such as travel guides, and such, and the internet sometimes difficult to navigate unlees I want to look at "sponserd" items

so basically I am hoping to glean from this web site, maybe you could direct me to some good web sites, I would appreciate the feedback.
