I know these questions are caused by stupidity, but i could do with some help

I have booked a pretty decent deal with a company, but the hotel they have put me in is the Natural Park.

Now it looks nice and everything, but I have looked at prices for others, such as the Lek, and I can actually save money by changing. It also looks a bit too nice, with families and stuff, and I dont want them looking at me every morning like Im corrupt

There are no reviews of Natural Park regarding the guest fee, which i dont really want to pay.

Any ideas. Im not bound by transfers, and am staying for 8 nights in January, so advise away

Stay at the Penthouse Hotel (http://www.penthousehotel.com): think a richly-decorated bordello and you'll be in the ballpark.

1) You'll be right in the middle of the action

2) It's girl friendly, boy friendly, and ladyboy friendly - though I'm not sure whether they're sheep friendly. Any input from our Kiwi board members here?

3) The rooms are straightened up twice a day (you're expected to maintain a certain level of debauchery)

4) It's quite near Walking Street (won't have to bother with a baht bus)

Other, less outrageous, suggestions are:

Sabaidii Lodge (or Sabaidii Inn) on Soi 2.

Then there's the Queen Victoria on the (in)famous Soi 6

Another great place to stay is in the Soi 7/8 area. Plenty of beer bars. BG's, and restaurants. The Eastiny Inn, Eastiny Place, Sunshine, Flipper House, and Flipper Lodge should cost you around 800 baht a night. Pig and Whistle and the Bella Vista ar 2 other hotels in the area but don't have a pool and will be cheaper.

I doubt you will encounter a joiner fee there but it does look a bit run down from the outside :D
