Soi 7 & Soi 8.

Hi there all. Care to vote for the best accommodation value in the sois 7/8 area? I moved away from the area for my last trip but always seem to end up there after Walking Street closes. I really would appreciate feed back on the good and bad news about this fab area.

under 1kbt per night I think flipper standard room soi7 is a great value, eastisy isn't bad eighter, soi 8

 

Sunshine on soi8 is good value for size of room at 1200bt, but i don't normally pay over 1kbt so it's flipper for me

Eastiny Place for me, very reasonable 800 bht, reasonable rooms, great pool and staff are friendly despite what others say, and bars very close and of course girl friendly

I liked the Eastiny Place over the others. If you don't use the pool then I would recommend the Bella Vista over the others at 600 baht. Next year you'll have another option as the Eastiny Hotel on soi 7 will open.

Flipper Lodge and Eastiny Inn are both sufficient. Definately preferred the pool on the roof at Flipper.

I've always enjoyed the Eastiny Place on Soi 8 -- I'd be prepared to love the Eastiny Place on Soi 8 if they'd add high speed or WiFi Internet to their rooms. I know, I know; the vast majority of us don't go to LOS with (or wanting) the ballast of a laptop and online obligations, but given the steady flow if business in the Internet cafe's, it appears most of us log on to check emails, at a minimum. For those of us who work online or must stay connected, plus with the growing advent of VoIP phone service, it will be nice when more middle of the road hotel have updated to having Internet available.

Sunshine hotel soi 8 for me.

 

Good rooms, good tv, good air con,good pool(on ground floor) good staff and good all round basically!!

 

Pool on the 1st floor is a bit of a no no though(one time i saw a condom floating on the surface, thrown out of a hotel window i guess-yuk!)

 

12 days til im over there
