Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Going over for 4 weeks on 20th May,last year stayed at Flipper House on Soi 7 as they had great deal of stay 14 pay 10 so only cost 707 baht a night Just got email back saying they are not having the deal this year so am looking at other options.

Used to stay every year at the Lek but prices have gone up since rebuilding.

I would never pay more than 1000 baht a night. I know there are plenty of places around 600/700 baht but I do like a swimming pool so that limits options.

I may book the first week at Flipper House or Areca Lodge and then check out options when I get over there.

Any suggestions more than welcome.

Nautical inn, soi11, the oldest hotel in Pattaya, offer room on the bulding or in bungalow around the pool for about 700 bahts. The Cottage for about 700 bahts offer bungalow in second road in front of the lateral enty of Central festival center.

Pauly 77,

Why on earth would you book into Areca, and look at other options?

Areca has TWO pools,TWO saunas,a huge breakfast for TWO,is VERY girl friendly,

and ten minutes walk to Sois 7/8 or Walking st.

You can get Areca for 990B a night through booking agencies on the net, including the above.

Anyway,Up To You.

Ned.

the reason i would look for other options is because of the difference over 3 weeks between 990baht a night and 700baht is somethimg to consider.

I remember the Queens hotel from last year as went past it many times-it looked o.k. from the outside and in good location for all the bars. I also remember it had special offer advertised, poss 600 baht mentioned.

Obviously would only stay somewhere where no charge for lady guest.Cheers.

Hi,

If you land on the ground at that time there should be lots of empty hotels and plenty of good deals. I would just show up as you know the neighbourhood. :chogdee2

Try Eastinny Place Soi 8. I have negotiated lower rates with them before. Nice pool, but doesn't get much light in afternoon in some spots.

If you send emails to any of these hotels, make sure you reference that you are looking for longterm (monthly) rates, as that will give them flexibility to lower rates.

If not successful, I would book only one night, then go around and ask to speak to manager about monthly rates, because after a week you lose the bargaining power of a monthly rental. Make sure you get the manager, as is often with Thailand, the lower echelon workers have little or no flexibility or decision making.

That is low season, so you should have more success in negatiating lower rates.

Also, have you tried this site, which will give lowest rates and also take you to info on the hotel?

:D

tried again with Flipper house but still saying offer not available due to renovation!

will email back mentioning special offer given to friend in June and see what they say, will ask if offer available at Flipper Lodge.

Think best thing to do is just book in for 2 or 3 nights and check other places out when there, always plenty accomodation available in May/June and you can take a look at the place and rooms in person before booking. Thanks for advice etc.

I agree with Hub on this. You have to deal with the manager as he has the authority to offer discounts. BTW great website, Hub listed.

I have just booked a standard room in the Sabai Inn for 700 Baht a night. Great value for money and in my opinion a great location. It doesnt have a swimming pool but you can use the one straight across the road at the Sabai Lodge. :D

:D

when are you staying at Sabai Inn? I have been past it many times, looks nice from outside and foyer etc looks smart. No problem going over road to use pool.It is good location although usually stay more central/south.

However as my friend will be staying at Charming Inn on Soi 3 at the same time,I could look to stay a week at Sabai Inn and then move down to my usual neck of the woods.

700 baht sounds fine so will definitely consider it.Cheers!
