The last time I was in the U.S., I used my Vonage VOIP phone, and I talked to my Thai wife on her Mobile for 60 min. at a cost of $7.20 - Not bad.

one of my backups is gorilla www.mobile.com it is 18 cents a minute to cell phones and 12 cents to land lines. The nice part is you dial a number and it recognizes your phone then bills your visa card. I have it on my cell and I can call from anywhere and not have to worry about having a card on me. The quality is usually pretty good but sometimes the connection is crappy and I have to redial.

I just got cingular wireless for their direct dial program. For 3.99 a month you can have international calling. The cost is 26 cents a minute to call thailand cell phone and 24 cents a minute for a land line. so far the line quality has been good. :thumbup <huh

I use one that I got on Speedy

After the home page comes up, 'click' on Thailand and on the next page there will be several phone cards to choose from. The one I use is Clear Connections and I think it the 5th one down.

It is 3 1/2 (.035) cents USD per minute. This is for both land line and cell phones anywhere in Thailand. It has no connect fees and has only one minute rounding and no other fees. Some of the other cards have weekly or twice monthly fees and some will have 3 minute rounding, so you need to be careful on which card you choose. The Clear Connections card is good for a year after you first use it.

I purchased a $10 card and had to to pay a $1 service charge and just paid for on my credit card. I can also recharge the card and keep my same pin number.

Hope this helps!

I use a LD access from the following.Enjoy Prepaid

My plan is a $.07/min plan, but they have plans down to $.04 with no surcharges or fees, and no expiration. Even lower if you accept a fee and/or surcharge.

Local access #s also.
